Unfortunately our next group tour to Mavecure is not until February. If you're interested in that trip, please let me know.

What kind of fish is in the area, and is equipment provided?

Fish in the Orinoco / Amazon river system are numerous. Commonly targeted species include payara, serenata, catfish, peacock bass, and piranha. We provide equipment, but this is usually my own fly rod and rudimentary stick rods used commonly by the local community. This is not a fishing focused tour, though again, it is customizable.

At this time, we are only offering this tour for private bookings, so dates are based on each group's preference. It is possible for us to lead this trip with one guest, but sometimes this can be cost prohibitive as there are not other guests to split the price.

Is the pricing on the site accurate? How much would this cost if I am the only guest?

    Asked on December 28th, 2023

I just want to know if it's good for someone solo traveling looking to explore a bit. Also, I don't have many rain clothes or boots with me, I didn't see much if that would be provided, and who would I be traveling with?

At this time, we are only offering this tour for private bookings. We can take one person but sometimes this will be cost prohibitive as there are not other guests to split the price with. You'd be with one or two of our local guides. As far as rain gear- this is not provided, but we always make a stop to either rent or buy (mud) boots. They are cheap, under $15. I do however, recommend bringing a rain jacket for any visit to Colombia.
