Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Tenerife
You'll arrive in Tenerife and pick up your rental car for the week ahead. The drive north along the coast takes you to San Cristóbal de La Laguna, a charming old town where colorful facades line the streets and churches and monasteries dot the historic center. After checking into your accommodation, spend the evening walking around town to get a feel for the local restaurants and find a good spot for dinner. It's a relaxed first day to settle in and shake off travel fatigue.

- Day 2
Teno Mountains and Los Gigantes
Head out early and take the serpentine mountain roads through some dramatic scenery. The drive to Masca in the Teno Mountains shows off volcanic landscapes and steep cliff faces. From there, continue to Los Gigantes where 450-meter-high cliffs rise straight from the sea. Later, you'll head to Playa de los Guíos, a black lava sand beach tucked beneath those cliffs. Bring your swimsuit because you'll want to spend time in the water and just take in the views before heading back.

- Day 3
Teide National Park
Teide National Park is the main event today. You'll drive through winding forest roads and enter what feels like another planet, with gigantic volcanic rocks and dark lava flows spreading across the landscape. Mount Teide dominates the horizon as you hike through the volcanic terrain and get a sense of the raw power of the island's geology. If you want, stick around for sunset and take a dip in the natural swimming pools at Los Gigantes before heading back to your accommodation.

- Day 4
Ferry to La Gomera
Drive to Los Cristianos and leave your rental car behind as you board the ferry to La Gomera. The crossing takes a couple of hours, and you'll arrive in San Sebastián ready to explore. Check into your accommodation and wander through the charming harbor town with its colorful buildings and quiet plazas where locals sit at cafés. If you're up for it, rent a bike to get around the surrounding area later or tomorrow.

- Day 5
La Gomera Exploration
La Gomera's natural side comes alive today. You can bike up to Alto de Garajonay, the highest point on the island, or book a guided tour if you prefer having someone show you around. Stop at Mirador de los Roques to see the striking rock formations and dense jungle landscape from a vantage point. The lush green vegetation here contrasts nicely with Tenerife's volcanic terrain, so you'll notice the difference in environment right away.

- Day 6
Adeje
Take the ferry back to Tenerife this morning and collect your rental car in Los Cristianos. Drive north to Adeje and check into your beach resort accommodation. After settling in, head straight to the sand and spend the afternoon relaxing. Playa del Duque or the other nearby beaches are perfect for swimming or just lounging. By evening, find a beach bar for a sunset drink and watch the day wind down.

- Day 7
Beach Day in Adeje
This is your beach day. Playa de Las Américas is a wide sandy beach perfect for sunbathing and swimming in the Atlantic. You'll spend the day reading, soaking up the Tenerife sun, and cooling off in the water whenever you feel like it. Beach bars line the shore, so grab food and drinks whenever hunger hits. After dinner at one of the beachfront spots, stick around for an evening drink and watch the sun dip toward the horizon.

Departure from Tenerife
Start your final morning with a cortado at a local café in Adeje. After that last coffee, head to the rental car agency and return your vehicle.
