- Day 2
Tirana
Start your day with a guided walking tour through Tirana's architectural layers. You'll head to Bunk'Art, a former communist bunker that now functions as a museum and contemporary art gallery, which gives a unique perspective on the city's recent history. From there, you'll walk through different neighborhoods to see Roman mosaics, Ottoman structures, Italian colonial buildings, and architecture from the dictatorship era. The mix of styles tells the story of how various powers shaped the city over centuries.

Tirana to Virpazar - Budva
You'll travel from Tirana toward Montenegro, heading out for a guided boat trip on Skadar Lake, the largest lake in the Balkans. The water is surrounded by karst mountains and rocky shores, and if you're lucky, you might spot some of the diverse wildlife that lives in this ecosystem. After spending time on the lake, you'll continue on to the coastal town of Budva, where you'll be based for the next few days.

Budva - Cetinje - Kotor
This day focuses on Montenegro's cultural side. You'll visit Cetinje for a guided tour that includes King Nicola's Museum, which shows the royal history of the country. After that, you head to Kotor for another guided tour, this time of the walled medieval old town with its mix of Byzantine and Venetian influences. The narrow streets and old fortifications are worth taking time to see. Later, you'll return to Budva and have dinner at a local restaurant to wrap up the day.

Budva to Perast to Dubrovnik
You'll travel along the Adriatic coast toward Perast, stopping to visit the 'Our Lady of the Rocks' Church, which sits on a man-made island. The church has an interesting backstory tied to a legend from 1452 about a miraculous discovery. From there, you continue south to Dubrovnik, which sits at the end of this coastal stretch and will be your base for the final days of the trip.

Dubrovnik to Konavle to Dubrovnik
A local guide walks you through Dubrovnik's UNESCO-protected old town, explaining why the city earned its nickname as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic.' The walled city has inspired artists for centuries and served as a filming location for Game of Thrones, so you'll recognize scenes if you've watched the show. After the guided portion, you'll have free time to explore the charming town of Cavtat in Konavle on your own. You'll return to Dubrovnik in the evening for a farewell dinner, ending your trip on a nice note.
