- Day 1
Sarajevo
You'll land in Sarajevo and head into the historical center to get oriented with the city. Take the funicular up for views across the surrounding hills and then visit the cathedral. After settling into your accommodation, you'll have the evening to rest before the journey continues.

- Day 2
Sarajevo to Mostar
Start at the Sarajevo museum to understand the region's history, then travel out to see the Bosnian Pyramids landmark. You'll cross the Konjic bridge during your route before heading to Mostar. The UNESCO-listed historical center there deserves time to walk around, and you'll stay overnight to take it in.

- Day 3
Mostar to Trebinje
This is a full day of discovery. Head to Blagaj monastery first, then move on to Pocitelj medieval old town where cobblestone streets wind through old stone buildings. Later you'll reach the Radimlja archaeological site before touring Vjetrenica cave. End the day at Zavala monastery and travel to Trebinje for the night.

Trebinje
You'll visit Tvrdos monastery and its attached winery, where you can see how local wine is made. Walk across the Trebinje bridge and check out the cathedral in town. Stop by a local winery for tastings, then settle in for another night in Trebinje.

- Day 5
Trebinje to Budva
Start by exploring the Risan archaeological site with its Roman mosaics and history. From there, head to the coastal town of Perast where red-roofed buildings meet the water. You'll finish the day in Kotor's historical center before moving on to Budva for the night.

Budva to Shkoder
Spend time in Budva's historical center wandering the narrow streets and squares. Before heading out, visit Dajbabe monastery. Then travel north to Shkoder for an overnight stay in Albania.

Shkoder to Kruje
You'll tour Shkoder fortress with its views over the city, then visit the cathedral. After that, check out Lezhe castle as you travel inland. By evening you'll reach Kruje for your overnight stay.

Kruje to Durres
Kruje fortified town and castle take up your morning with steep stone streets and old architecture. Later you'll head to Durres to see the ancient theatre and walk through the historical center. Stroll along the promenade by the coast, then stay overnight in Durres.

Durres to Berat
Head to Divjake beach for some coastal time, then travel to Berat. You'll explore the UNESCO-listed historical center with its white stone houses stacked on the hillside and visit the fortress. Settle in for the night in Berat.

Berat to Vlore
Start with the Apollonia archaeological site where Greek ruins sit among olive trees. Stop at Vlore St Mary monastery on your route, then continue to Vlore for an overnight stay by the southern coast.
