Itinerary
- Day 1
Airport to Serengeti National Park
Your safari starts with an early pickup from your hotel or airport and you'll head straight into Serengeti National Park. The drive gets you into the heart of things quickly, and from there it's a full game drive looking for lions, leopards, elephants, zebras, and cheetahs along with all the birds and reptiles around. The sounds and smells of the park really hit you once you're out there. By evening you'll settle into Seronera Campsite for dinner and your first night.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands
After breakfast you head out for a half-day game drive through Serengeti, then stop by the Visitor's Center to get some background on the park and what you're seeing. You'll spot wildebeest trails and come across rock hyrax, porcupines, and lizards moving around. Following lunch, you leave Serengeti behind and drive toward Karatu in the Ngorongoro Highlands. Once you arrive at Ngorongoro Simba Campsite you'll have dinner and spend the night there.

- Day 3
Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After an early breakfast you descend into Ngorongoro Crater on a winding narrow road, and the scenery shifts from thick forest down to open savannah with acacia trees scattered throughout. This is where you'll find the Big Five if you're lucky, and you should also see warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, and hyenas. There's a picnic lunch inside the crater itself, and then you drive back to Arusha in the afternoon.
