Asked on October 29th, 2024Would you tell me please, after the drive on the last day of this eleven day tour, from Marmaris to Istanbul, around what time does the coach tour arrive at Istanbul Airport? Would I need to have medical insurance, or is that an option?
- J
Jason
Traveler•Written October 2024I learned from a person, John, who visited Ephesus recently with a tour that going early around 7 am or at the latest 8 am, his tour saw Ephesus before the cruise ship passengers arrived at the site. In other words, once the cruise ship passengers arrived at 10 am there was a sea of people's heads that could be avoided by an early start, arranged with the operators of the Ephesus complex. Would you wish to comment?
Guide of EphesusOperator•Written October 2024In summer time the cruise ships are arriving between 07 to 10 am and untill noon time its crowded. at 7 am ancient city is not open its opening at 8 am. from marmaris to istanbul is about 9 hours by car so arrival time is up to departure time from marmaris.

Traveler•Written October 2024I appreciate your response. Therefore, I should visit Ephesus at the less crowded time, during the afternoon. That will be perhaps warmer, though less over-whelming. That journey information from Marmaris to Istanbul I find helpful.
