This tour is suitable for adults of all ages, and we regularly welcome guests in their 60s, 70s, and even 80s who enjoy cultural travel. There is no ideal age—what matters most is having a reasonable level of mobility. The itinerary does involve sightseeing at archaeological sites where some walking is required, and certain areas have uneven ground, steps, or cobblestone paths. However, guests are welcome to explore at their own pace, and there is no requirement to keep up with the group if they need extra time. Our tour guides are always happy to assist senior guests whenever possible, including helping with boarding vehicles, offering support at sites, and adjusting the pace where practical. If you have any mobility concerns, please let us know in advance so we can do our best to accommodate your needs. Yes, all hotels used on the tour have elevators and are senior-friendly. If you require a walk-in shower or another accessibility feature, please let us know before booking, and we will do our best to arrange it, subject to availability.

Can I get a tour of Egypt 7 to 12 days. Cairo is a must. Nile cruise (luxury) with Abu Simbel but we do not want the 3 1/2 hour drive each way. One way OK, but would like tour with a flight to or from Abu Simbel.

we will be glad to arrange 4 days Petra, wadi rum camping and dead sea adventure after you finish Agatha Christie Egypt Journey.

the activity level was high on several days amd there was absolutely no time allowed for shopping; I have never been overseas before where I returned home with no purchases. Guide discouraged us from purchasing along the tour route with the promise of visiting the bazarre in Cairo. We never went there. Would have like to shop in GEM museum for example. Taken to a couple of fip-off attractions: Papyrus Museum, fragrance house which could have been left off.

We are sorry to hear that the activity level felt high on several days and that you were disappointed with the amount of time available for shopping. We understand how important this can be. Regarding shopping opportunities in Cairo, we would like to kindly clarify that our guide did offer the group free time to visit the old cairo khan El Kahlille bazaar. However, the majority of the tour participants preferred not to include this stop because they were tried and as our tours operate on a group-consensus basis, the visit was therefore not made. With respect to shopping at locations such as the GEM Museum, the schedule on that day was tight due to pre-arranged visits, which unfortunately limited the available free time. As for the papyrus museum and fragrance house, these stops are included to introduce guests to traditional Egyptian crafts and local products.

Is it possible to make a reservation and down payment for a December tour but reschedule later to October if October fits my schedule better?

You will be able to request change the departure date later if you will be not be able to make it according to the original date but you must inform us about this change at least 3 months before the trip starts and the any difference on the price between the different departure dates will be applied.

My husband and I just returned from Agatha Christie 12 day tour of Egypt ,we joined a small group of 6 traveller in total . We booked this from Australia and could not have been happier. We went from Abu Simbel in the south, Aswan, enjoyed the luxurious Nile cruise on ms Nile acamar (food and staff were amazing), Luxor, Karnak, Edfu, several days in Cairo (make sure you go to the step pyramids in Saquara and the Red and Bent Pyramids too)Our guides ahmed (in Aswan and NIle cruise) and mona (in Cairo ) were exeptional. All drivers were excellent but our favourite was tony in Cairo, We appreciated the bottles of water during all the tour activities . All of the hotels were lovely. There is lot of security in Egypt with many check points, scans and pat downs. Initially it may be a little confronting however I felt very safe at all times. If you go to the shops/bazaars the shop keeper will hassle you but just be polite and keep walking. The Egyptian people are genuinely friendly and helpful and the country and sites are mindblowing. Australia does not have a tipping or bargaining culture so we found this a little awkward at times. All up an amazing tour that went smoothly and was well organised. We loved Egypt and would thoroughly recommend this trip .ThanksShow more

I cannot say enough good things about Agatha Christie luxury Egypt Journey ,both with the operator before the trip started( Ayman was fantastic!) to the on-site people (shout out to our airport contact in Cairo toni , our skilled driver hany , our Cairo guide Dr nasssar , and our knowledgable Aswan/Luxor guide anas - BEST crew EVER!!!) who make your trip a seamless, safe, exciting, educational, and all-around transformative life highlight. This experience was seriously a bucket-list one for my husband and me, and I can NOT emphasize enough how important all the team was to making Egypt an infinitely easier context to navigate. If you've watched travel vloggers and social media influencers attempt to navigate Egypt on their own and complain about a negative experience, fear not - if you go with them , every single thing. will be taken care of. There is NOTHING to worry about, and the experience was entirely positive. The people, the culture, the historical sites and stories - they are taking care of all the logistical details, these are the only things you need to focus on. I am full of gratitude for the experience I had in Egypt, and I credit ab voyages for it. I will absolutely use them in the future for other destinations, and I urge you to do the same. I know my Egypt experience would not have been nearly the same had if I not gone with We loved the trip to Abu Simbel!! It was a major highlight (we went in a private car that left Aswan around 8 am, so by the time we arrived at Abu Simbel, the tour busses were on their way back to Aswan, and we had the whole of the site almost entirely to ourselves. It was one of the most awe-inspiring moments of my life. It was amazing. If I could give 10 stars, I would! We enjoyed the whole tour that exceeded our expectations. It was perfectly crafted to meet our desires and our capabilities as Seniors. All of the drivers, guides, accommodations and curated experiences were just perfect for us. Pat and very much enjoyed our Agartha Christi tour, great tour guides where nothing was too much trouble and although there were some variations in schedule which was fine, and we were so fortunate to be the only two visitors with our own guide, our only disappointment was not being able to stay at the Aswan Cateract Hotel. Unfortunately the Aswan Tolip Hotel was definitely not of similar quality as the other three and we would recommend not using it again so as not to disappoint your future visitors doing the same tour.Show more

They even made made a birthday cake specially for me and another guest and had a short party with dancing and music where all staff joined in! Guides were very knowledgeable and very kind and considerate. Totally excellent. Hotels were fantastic and high tea at the Old Cataract Hotel was memorable. Only downside was the opening welcome dinner was dreadful and a change of boat and scheduling caused some difficulty.Show more

the activity level was high on several days amd there was absolutely no time allowed for shopping; I have never been overseas before where I returned home with no purchases. Guide discouraged us from purchasing along the tour route with the promise of visiting the bazarre in Cairo. We never went there. Would have like to shop in GEM museum for example. Taken to a couple of fip-off attractions: Papyrus Museum, fragrance house which could have been left off.

  We are sorry to hear that the activity level felt high on several days and that you were disappointed with the amount of time available for shopping. We understand how important this can be. Regarding shopping opportunities in Cairo, we would like to kindly clarify that our guide did offer the group free time to visit the old cairo khan El Kahlille bazaar. However, the majority of the tour participants preferred not to include this stop because they were tried and as our tours operate on a group-consensus basis, the visit was therefore not made. With respect to shopping at locations such as the GEM Museum, the schedule on that day was tight due to pre-arranged visits, which unfortunately limited the available free time. As for the papyrus museum and fragrance house, these stops are included to introduce guests to traditional Egyptian crafts and local products.

- For any tour departing before November 24th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after November 24th, 2026, a minimum payment of $250 is required to confirm your booking with AB Voyages Egypt. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
