    Each traveler is allowed: One checked bag up to 15 kg (33 lbs) and one carry-on bag up to 5 kg (11 lbs). If you expect to travel with more luggage, we can arrange an increased baggage allowance on the domestic flights for an additional fee.

    You are absolutely right to notice the discrepancy. The itinerary on our website reflects our preferred program, including an overnight stay at the legendary Old Cataract Hotel. However, due to the hotel's renovation schedule, we are currently unable to guarantee availability. For departures once the hotel has officially reopened, we intend to include the overnight stay there whenever possible. If the hotel is not available, we will instead fly back to Cairo that evening, as shown in the TourRadar itinerary. We will confirm the final arrangements well before your departure.

    For this journey, we arrange the Nile adventure on a luxury Dahabiya rather than a traditional large Nile cruise ship. A Dahabiya offers a much more intimate and exclusive experience on the Nile, with a smaller number of guests, a more relaxed atmosphere, and the ability to sail into quieter areas of the river that the larger cruise ships cannot reach.

    Yes, the two-bedroom configurations shown in the attachments are examples of the more spacious, upgraded suite-style accommodations. Each Dahabiya is unique, so we cannot guarantee that the exact boat shown in the photos will be the one assigned to you. However, the Dahabiyas we use are selected within a comparable luxury standard, and the accommodation should be consistent with the quality and style represented in those photographs.

    You are absolutely right about one of the major advantages of traveling by Dahabiya. Because these vessels are much smaller than the large Nile cruise ships, they can often access smaller areas and make stops that the larger ships cannot. They also tend to have much more flexibility in their cruising and stopping arrangements. This can make a significant difference at some of the archaeological sites. Instead of always following the same schedule as the large cruise ships, a Dahabiya can sometimes arrive at quieter times or stop at less crowded locations along the Nile. It creates a much more private, relaxed and intimate experience.

    This tour is suitable for adults of all ages, and we regularly welcome guests in their 60s, 70s, and even 80s who enjoy cultural travel. There is no ideal age—what matters most is having a reasonable level of mobility.
    
    The itinerary does involve sightseeing at archaeological sites where some walking is required, and certain areas have uneven ground, steps, or cobblestone paths. However, guests are welcome to explore at their own pace, and there is no requirement to keep up with the group if they need extra time.
    
    Our tour guides are always happy to assist senior guests whenever possible, including helping with boarding vehicles, offering support at sites, and adjusting the pace where practical. If you have any mobility concerns, please let us know in advance so we can do our best to accommodate your needs.
    
    Yes, all hotels used on the tour have elevators and are senior-friendly. If you require a walk-in shower or another accessibility feature, please let us know before booking, and we will do our best to arrange it, subject to availability.

  Can I get a tour of Egypt 7 to 12 days. Cairo is a must. Nile cruise (luxury) with Abu Simbel but we do not want the 3 1/2 hour drive each way. One way OK, but would like tour with a flight to or from Abu Simbel.

  the activity level was high on several days amd there was absolutely no time allowed for shopping; I have never been overseas before where I returned home with no purchases. Guide discouraged us from purchasing along the tour route with the promise of visiting the bazarre in Cairo. We never went there. Would have like to shop in GEM museum for example. Taken to a couple of fip-off attractions: Papyrus Museum, fragrance house which could have been left off.

    We are sorry to hear that the activity level felt high on several days and that you were disappointed with the amount of time available for shopping. We understand how important this can be. Regarding shopping opportunities in Cairo, we would like to kindly clarify that our guide did offer the group free time to visit the old cairo khan El Kahlille bazaar. However, the majority of the tour participants preferred not to include this stop because they were tried and as our tours operate on a group-consensus basis, the visit was therefore not made. With respect to shopping at locations such as the GEM Museum, the schedule on that day was tight due to pre-arranged visits, which unfortunately limited the available free time. As for the papyrus museum and fragrance house, these stops are included to introduce guests to traditional Egyptian crafts and local products.
