Arrival in Tromsø
You'll land in Tromsø and pick up your rental car at the airport. From there, drive to your hotel in the city center, which sits in a great location for watching the Northern Lights with mountains and water surrounding it.

Tromsø
After breakfast at the hotel, the day is yours to spend however you like. Walk through Tromsø's cultural spots and check out local food, or if you want something more active, book a snowmobile safari, spend time with huskies and reindeer, or take a Northern Lights cruise in the evening.

Tromsø to Alta
Leave Tromsø and drive through the Lyngen Alps where snow-covered peaks meet the Arctic Ocean. You'll cross two ferries through the landscape, then arrive in Alta. After that, visit the Museum of Rock Carvings to see some of the world's most important prehistoric rock art.

Alta
This morning, head to Sorrisniva Ice Hotel and walk through the snow and ice structure with its sculpted furniture and decorated rooms. Grab a cold drink at the Ice Bar, then drive north along Porsanger Fjord through Finnmark to reach Honningsv\u00e5g.

- Day 5
North Cape
Meet at 11 a.m. at Skarsv\u00e5g junction and travel by convoy with a snowplow to the North Cape, mainland Europe's northernmost point. Check out the restaurant, museum, and chapel at this dramatic spot, then return by convoy at 1 p.m. to Honningsv\u00e5g for the afternoon.

Hammerfest to Tromsø
Drive to Hammerfest in the morning through snowy terrain where you might see reindeer herds. Later, board the Hurtigruten coastal express for a cruise back to Tromsø, watching for Northern Lights from the ship. The lights reflecting on the water are something special out here with so little light around.

Departure from Tromsø
Start with breakfast at your hotel and take a relaxed morning. If there's time, walk around Tromsø one more time or grab any last-minute gifts. Then head to the airport to return your rental car and catch your flight home.
