Really enjoyed this tour - and the itinerary of places to visit - which culminated in us paying for the extra day around Machu Picchu, to climb the harder and steep route up Huayna Picchu: which was exhilarating and well worth the effort!! Local contacts, drivers and guides were so helpful in each destination - as they all changed in each particular locations. All tours involved minibuses - or boat trips - so were well experienced for these tourist venues. The Ballestas Islands, Nasca lines, Colca Canyon and a walk to the top of the island in Lake Titicaca were all great highlights. There were a great number of different places to see - with varying levels of accommodation comfort, which were on the whole sound. Even though the Miraflores hotel was good, it was a way out (50mins away) from the main coastal part of Miraflores. Most breakfasts were included which were a good way to start the long days. All tours involved the obligatory local crafts or products stops. Some had particularly informative and entertaining talks - particularly the lady in Chinchero selling their locally made products. Another accidental highlight was being there at the time of their various carnivals in February - making it more colourful and lively all around Cusco and Lake Titicaca area. Cusco’s best museum was the Pre-Columbian art - small and very good and informative.Show more
