- Day 1
Cairo
Your representative will be waiting when you arrive in Cairo, and they'll handle getting you to the hotel without any hassle. Once you're settled, the rest of the evening is yours to do as you please, whether that's resting after travel or exploring the immediate area.

- Day 2
Cairo
Start the day with a guided tour through the Grand Egyptian Museum to see King Tutankhamun's gold burial mask and other treasures. From there, head to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization and walk through the Royal Mummies' Hall to see the remarkably preserved pharaonic mummies. Spend the rest of your time relaxing at the hotel pool with your family.

Cairo to Aswan
Travel out to the Giza Plateau to see the three great pyramids and the Sphinx. You'll get a closer look at the Cheops pyramid, constructed with over 2.5 million limestone blocks, and you have the option to go inside if you'd like. After that, either head back to the hotel pool to unwind or take time to explore Cairo on your own. By evening, board an overnight sleeper train heading to Aswan.

- Day 4
Aswan
You'll arrive in Aswan and take a boat out to Agilika Island to walk through the Philae Temple. There's a stop at a perfume oil shop, then the rest of the afternoon is free for you to relax at the hotel, use the facilities, or take a stroll along the riverside corniche. In the evening, head over to the Aswan market to check out the local herbs and spices.

Aswan
Sail on a traditional felucca along the Nile to Elephantine Island for a guided exploration of archaeological sites there. Lunch and family time happen on the boat itself. The afternoon is at your leisure, or if you're interested, there's an optional visit to the Nubian Museum, which has over 3,000 artifacts showing Egypt's history from the Pharaohs through the Romans.

Aswan to Luxor
Take a motorboat across the Nile to the west bank, where you'll ride a camel across the desert to the 7th-century Monastery of St. Simeon. After exploring the site, you'll depart for Luxor with a stop to see the temple of Kom Ombo, which has a really interesting symmetrical design with the falcon god Horus on one side and the crocodile god Sobek on the other.

- Day 7
Luxor
Spend your day exploring Luxor's West Bank, beginning with the Valley of the Kings to see the intricate catacombs the ancient Egyptians built to protect tombs from robbers. Next, see the impressive colonnaded temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the colossal Colossi of Memnon. The afternoon takes you through the monumental Karnak Temple complex with its various sanctuaries, pylons, chapels, halls, and obelisks. Your evening is free, or you can join the optional illuminated tour of Luxor Temple.

Luxor to Cairo
Head out from Luxor this morning with a transfer to the airport for your flight back to Cairo. Once you arrive, spend the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel pool with your family or walking around the city at your own pace.
