This tour is a self-guided cycle holiday, so it is absolutely suitable for 2 people as long as the hotels are available. The bikes on this trip are hybrid bikes, rather than road bikes, as the terrain can be a little more gravelly in places. We rate this a moderate level trip, so it isn't the most active - appealing to the active rider that is looking for a relaxed trip. The kilometres are as follows: Day 2: 49km (roughly -200m elevation), Day 3: 65km (roughly -150m elevation), Day 4: 61km (around +/- 40m elevation), Day 5: 52km (very flat, small 20m hills throughout), Day 6: 53km (few 100m inclines), Day 7: 55km (+20m elevation). It's mostly a downhill trip with very minimal inclines.

On this particular holiday we use the following: Bike information Hybrid bike brand is Specialized Frame with single chainring 44T derailleur with XT 12 speed gearbox (Male default bike) or Cube with single chainring 44T derailleur with XT 12 speed gearbox (Male but only if the Specialised is not available) and Fuji traverse (Female) with Shimano Tourney, 48/38/28T w/ chainguard and Shimano Tourney rear derailleur. In short: the bikes have a good range of gears for the elevation on the trip. Ebike brand is ATALA. Male and female frames. Gravel and road bikes are available for hire but note that they do not come with panniers. They will have a saddle bag instead.

I am pleased to confirm it is possible to hire e-bikes on this trip. The E-Bikes are heavier in comparison to the standard bike hire, so do take when when riding, mounting and de-mounting the e-bikes.

We covered a lot of area in the 6 days of the hike. The hotel staff, chef’s, kitchen staff, servers, front desk staff were all great as well. Our group had a FANTASTIC time on our tour of the Amalfi coast with Exodus. Communication was great from the start, patiently answering our many questions, and they were very accommodating as we added more travelers to our group. Our guide, Veriano, was wonderful. Funny, informative, and set the perfect pace so we saw a lot without ever feeling rushed. I loved that he took factors into consideration like weather, the energy of the group, etc. in order to improve the experience, even if that meant changing up the itinerary a little bit. Which I'm sure was more work for him. The hotel was wonderful. (Don't let other reviews complaining about "long, drawn-out dinners dissuade you.) The food was wonderful. The staff was so attentive and helpful. The pasta and pizza-making demos were great fun. It was so nice to sit around the table as a group each night, recounting the day's adventures. Sure, dinner was "longer" than what we're used to. But that's the point. To relax, enjoy the food, savor it, and slow down a bit. I've never traveled with Exodus before, but you've earned a lifelong fan and will definitely be booking another tour with them in the future.Show more
