Itinerary
- Day 1
Perth to Cape Naturaliste - Yallingup
You'll leave Perth and arrive at Cape Naturaliste by lunchtime. After settling in, there's a picnic lunch on the lawn at the lighthouse where you'll meet your fellow travelers. The afternoon takes you along the Cape to Cape track with cliff-top trails and some beach sections, so watch for dolphins in the water. By evening you'll be in Yallingup for your first two nights, and dinner with the group happens later that day.

- Day 2
Yallingup
Morning beach walking gets the day started, then you'll walk along the coast taking in red granite boulders, white sand, and turquoise water all day. Lunch happens at Injidup, followed by Quinninup Falls and Moses Rock for ocean views. After that, you head to Ngilgi Caves where a First Nations guide walks you through the bush and explains traditional medicinal plants. The cave itself opens after public hours, where you'll hear didgeridoo music and learn about Wadandi and Bibbulmum culture before returning to Yallingup.

- Day 3
Yallingup to Margaret River
This is a fairly easy day with only a few hills and some sandy patches along the way. You'll get sweeping coastal views from cliff-top positions and see the tall granite cliffs at Willyabrup. If conditions allow, there's a chance to swim in the sheltered bay at Gracetown, or you can just wade and rest. From there, the Cape to Cape track continues to Margaret River, where you'll stay for the next 5 nights.

Margaret River
The day starts with fairly easy walking through coastal heath to Ellensbrook historic homestead. Morning tea happens there while you look around the property. The track then heads inland, giving you a different view of the landscape away from the ocean. After lunch, you return to the coast for a pleasant beach walk to Cape Mentelle. The day finishes at Margaret River mouth, where you might get a swim if the weather cooperates.

Margaret River
You'll start inland and have morning tea beside Boodjidup brook. A beach walk then takes you to Redgate for lunch, and after that comes a spectacular stretch of cliff-top walking to shady Contos Campground for afternoon tea. The final section winds through cool forest on easy, firm tracks. Despite the distance covered, most people don't find this the hardest day of the week.

Margaret River
From the karri forest, you'll make your way down to the aqua-blue waters at Hamelin Bay. The 6 km beach stretch gives you time to enjoy the peace and scenery as you arrive for a picnic lunch. After eating, there's a short but steep hike up to Foul Bay Lighthouse with sweeping coastal views behind you. You'll reach your accommodation before the day gets too late.

Margaret River to Cape Leeuwin
This is your final day, and it's particularly exciting if wind picks up. Much of the walking follows a limestone ledge near the sea with blowholes, then a long beach stretch lets you reflect on your week. From there you head inland, catching glimpses of Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse as you approach. The Cape to Cape track officially ends at the lighthouse, so you can take off your boots and celebrate finishing the hike.

Margaret River to Perth
You'll have time to sleep in and enjoy a leisurely breakfast with your morning free in Margaret River. Before leaving, grab some take-away lunch from town at your own cost. Then it's back to Perth by private vehicle, with arrival usually between 2:30 and 3:00 PM.
