This is my second time to join the Contiki. In my first time Contiki trip, I was unhappy with the food of the trip because there are provide some stale food in the restaurant. Although I had already complaint to the managers and they had apologize to us and compensate for the mistake, I was still unhappy about the trip. However, there are one point that I am pleased with it because I can see the improvement of the trip. In the second trip, my wife and me were going to celebrate our first year wedding anniversary so we joint the Contiki and this is my wife’s first time to join. I feel pleased because the food is very delicious and no more stale food and the trip is better than our first time Contiki trip. I am happy that the Contiki had listened the review of their customer. My wife and me was happy in the whole trip. But, there is a some place that is not enough good. I hope the Contiki can be better and we would like to join the trip again.

Why is an age range listed? I am 55 and my wife is 50. Are we eligible to book this trip?

    Age Range

Apologies as all our Contiki tours are strictly for travellers ages 18 to 35 years old only. We are unable to accommodate travellers outside of the said age group.

    Sheila

    Asked on June 23rd, 2023

Is there a reverse tour, or some similar tour that starts in Berlin that we could have a look at? Also we will arrive in Berlin on 10th Sept, do you have a later date planned for this tour?

    Tour Details
    • ContikiOperatorWritten June 2023

Unfortunately we do not have a reverse option for this tour. We do have a trip called the eastern road that starts in Berlin. But we don't have a departure for the 10th of September, unless you are able to change your dates, same for the tour you have already selected there isn't any other dates.

Do you have a link to the eastern road trip? I cannot find it from the homepage.

    Carmen

    Asked on November 22nd, 2022

Is most of the travel by train overnight? We have been looking at tours of Europe and would prefer to have someone do the 'driving' for us overnight, and wake up in a new city every day. If the train travels at night what are the accommodations when traveling by train? Would it be sitting upright in a train seat?

    Tour Details
    Transport
    • ContikiOperatorWritten November 2022

The tickets held are standard train tickets, which means upright seats for the journey (may have a slight recline). The trips would be by daytime, usually in the morning. These are the trains for each trip: London to Paris – Eurostar, Paris to Amsterdam – Thalys, Amsterdam to Berlin – DB Groupes. Public transport is then used within the cities to get around.
