    · April 30th, 2025
I can honestly this was one of the worst tour experiences I’ve ever had. I booked the independent option to have more free time, however it wasn’t clear that I wouldn’t be picked up on the airport upon arrival and wouldn’t be dropped off on departure. I ended up having to pay 3 times as the person in Sydney said they couldn’t find me and when I called they refused to come back to the airport. I paid for the taxi, asked for the reimbursement and they said I had to call a number in the United States to request a reimbursement. I had a complicated process for a tour that cost almost €5000 for 1 person. Not to mention the hotels were not in the best condition despite being well-known brands. I was quite disappointed and so uncomfortable. Lastly, Uluru. That experience illustrates the poor treatment of the Aboriginal people in Australia. You people should be ashamed. The way you had the ladies with paintings almost begging the tourists to buy their paintings. Rather than tell people on advance that we would be going to a place where they would be present so we would have cash, it became a whole complicated process that left many including myself very disappointed. I had heard about the poor treatment but was frankly shocked. Please speak to your partner AAT Kings about this part of the tour. Uluru is beautiful and the people at Desert Sands and those in Cairns were wonderful. That’s all that presented a 1.
