It was marketed as a “4 day/3 night cruise”. The reality was that you had 3 1/2 hours of cruising and the rest of the time you were docked at Port while the boat was only serving is your motel room. For this, I paid a total of $1150 for two people which made it more than $260 per night to stay on that boat. Essentially, the boat served as a motel room and it was twice as expensive and was 1/3 the size of the normal motel room. Supposedly also this was “half price” . One more time. We were actually cruising for only 3 1/2 hours even though it was marketed as a “4 day /3night cruise”. there were two of us in our room and we were not related at all. We were just sharing a room to cut expenses. Yet the book company would only give you one plastic card key for two people. It’s a $.10 piece of plastic and all they have to do is code it to open the door, but the two of us were supposed to share the same plastic key. Ridiculous. The tour guide was knowledgeable and fabulous and we had no problems with him. However, we did take a day trip to Abu-Simbal, and they provided a “boxed breakfast” to take along with us. It was nothing but bread. It was a croissant, a pastry, some other type of bread, jelly, and a sugary fruit drink. It was 100% carbohydrate. Several of us had an insulin crash for having eaten it. No protein at all. There should’ve been a hard-boiled egg along with a ham and cheese croissant—-instead we just got 100% carbohydrates. The driver drove nearly 100 miles an hour in a van and only turned his lights on occasionally. He could’ve killed all of us. And this went on for over 3 hours one way and a 3 hour return trip the other way. The food on the boat was excellent however. And you did get 3 meals per day. Again, our tour guide, Hassan, was excellent and did a good job. No complaints there at all. If I had it to do over again, I would not have done it. I would’ve taken the tours but done it from a hotel room. 3 1/2 hours of actual river time cruising made it a ripoff for me.Show more

Hassan, our tour guide, was excellent. 5 stars for him. But the 4 day/ 3 night cruise was really just a 4 hour cruise on one day. The rest of the time, we were docked in Aswan and Luxor. Essentially, this boat was a tiny, over-priced hotel room with no space and 3 buffets/day. We could have done all of this for less the $275/night we paid on this boat. The “box breakfast” provided on the 10 hour tour to Abu-Simbal was bread, bread, and a pastry (more bread) with sugary fruit drink and jelly ( pure sugar). No protein at all. 100% carbohydrates. It should have had ham, cheese, yogurt, and some boiled eggs for nutritional balance. Again, our tour guide Hassan was 100% at all times, but the value of this small boat was a disappointment.Show more

Sometimes the visits start early in the morning (4am), so be advised that it is not an all out relaxing vacation if you decide to visit every temple. The temples themselves are amazing as well, great to see such historic places in such a good condition. Throughout the visits, our TourGuide helped us a lot with his knowledge about ancient egypt, which helped us to fully understand the secrets of all the temples. Concluding, we recommend this tour but want to emphasize,that if you visit every temple, this tour is more on the adventorous side, rather than the relaxing one. However, we recommend visiting all the temples, because they are worth it!Show more

This was a great tour and I had an amazing time with all the friends that from the beginning Hossam Rashwan was welcoming and gave us drinks when we arrived. The food was amazing and the boat was so clean that I could sleep on the floor. I was vegetarian and cruise who was able to accommodate me and my family. The tours were very informed by Hossam and what I really liked about him was he cared to make everyone understand the history. He always wanted the best for the tourist, ensuring they were always hydrated and comfortable. I look forward to cruising with you guys again.Show more

The cruise boat was with Steingenberger legacy, not as good as a 5 star hotel would generally bring as an experience (breakfast really poor and served max until 8.30am, equipment in rooms not at 5 star standards, no functioning gym equipment even though it is mentioned). Be careful if you decide to book a hot air balloon tour, during June until end of August there are just none. However, reimbursement is being done efficiently. One note that should be brought to attention: entrance costs are not included and need to be paid at the end of the tour. These are clearly inflated which is not fair in my view. On the very positive aspect: amazing organisation and insights from our guide Hossam Rashwan who provided a true guiding through the Egypt history and really brought it to life through is explaining. I highly recommend him.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before September 15th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after September 15th, 2026, a minimum payment of 15% is required to confirm your booking with Holiday In Egypt. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Holiday In Egypt will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Holiday In Egypt" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
