The boat accommodations were comfortable and well-maintained, making the journey very enjoyable. Food was buffett style and always had something delicious to eat, even for picky eaters like our kids. Our guide, Mohammad Kamal, was excellent—very knowledgeable, informative, and always made the history come alive in an engaging way.
We also did the optional Nubian Village and Abu Simbel tours, and both were absolutely worth it—highly recommend adding them. Overall, a smooth, well-organized trip and a great way to see Egypt!

As a tour company, you need to send people to check out the tours and properly rate the trip before you advertise the tour. Overall we would give this cruise high marks. Our tour group through Tour Radar was 8 people and a helpful guide who smoothed out any concerns. The facilities, while a bit dated, were in working order. We were greeted each night by a towel animal on the bed. We counted up to 10 cruise ships at the docks, you have to walk through them to get to your ship, but ours was generally one of the first couple.
The food was okay, plentiful but not noteworthy. The salads and the desserts were the highlights. There is pretty much no entertainment at night, but we were tired after the tours. In a country where every hand is out for tips, the ship policy of just changing you up front was actually helpful. The staff was friendly. Concerns about diesel fuel smells and noise at night actually was not a problem. Do be careful when walking down the walkway at the port, lots of people out to seperate tourists from their money with a range of schemes and stories.

Like many people who were booking the tour through this Company I was somewhat sceptical as to their professionalism. However they were absolutely fantastic in every respect.

Overall is was very good value for the prices quoted.
I have 2 small observations:-
1. Other tour guides spoke like budding Sargent Majors so sometimes it was difficult to make out our guides descriptions.
2. For the Nile Cruise boat accomodation I suggest you request cabins within the front two thirds of the vessel. Cabins at the very back seem to suffer from noise, fumes and vibration.

About 48 hours before the cruise we had great communication with our guide, easy transportation to and from airports, the cruise ship, and to all the attractions. The boat was excellent from the crew, to the cleanliness, quality of the food, and comfort overall. Our guide, Mohamed Kamal is knowledgeable, relatable, and funny. I enjoyed learning about ancient Egypt and about daily Egyptian life. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxed way to see ancient temples and more!

Things to improve: we missed more detailed explanations in the temples. There were 3 workshop visits planned during the trip to buy alabaster figures, oils and perfumes and papyrus. We spent the same amount of time there that in some incredible spots like the Valley of the Kings...

Always remember that having a good tour guide is the most important thing you should think of before you get there. I highly recommend Mohamed Kamal, an amazing person with great knowledge, attitude and hospitality who took us to show the best places in the city. We enjoyed and laughed every single minute of our trip with Mohamed kamal an honest and kind person who made our trip to a memorable trip ever specially when he surprised me by celebrating my birthday few times in different locations with different people. Mohamed is very knowledgeable about Egypt, he is a very good in explaining the history of these amazing monuments. We learned a lot from him. He is also a lot of fun and made us feel very welcome and safe on the tour. We were on a fairly tight schedule, and he managed to keep the whole group on track, without ever pressuring any one.
Mohamed went way out of his way to help us. We forgot a small bag on the bus after the end of the tour, and when we called Mohamed about it, he immediately arranged for a driver to find the bag and deliver it to us at the airport.

The knowladge of the tempels was great, thanks to Kamal we learned a lot about Ancient Egypt and the history behind it.
And besides a great and friendly guide, he's also a really good photographer. He made sure that we had a good picture in every Temple with the least amount of people behind us!
He made our trip better than expected and we really recommend him to others.

We had an exceptional time with Mohammed Kamal. He was so detailed and thorough with all the explanation and historical stories. The cruise was also wonderful. If you need the 5 star sleeping arrangements, I would suggest taking the upgrade instead of the train to Ashwani. Food and accommodation were great. Staff at all locations were awesome. Take note that the cost of the regular tombs, museum etc are extra even if it's not an add on, but a decent price. Had a wonderful time all in all.

The sights were amazing. Pyramids and Sphinx had great timing. The GEM museum is so hug of course you could spend a whole day there but time doesn't allow. I booked this as a solo traveller so I could feel safe and meet others and tour with a group. I was felt welcome and included at all times and well looked after. I did have a few accommodation problems but all were swiftly sorted and meant I actually got better rooms in the future. It would have been nice to not have the initial problems of course but I can't fault the company for sorting them out very swiftly and ensuring things were ok in the end. The food on the cruise was nice and plentiful. The drinks were of a good price. The guides were great at looking after everyone and extremely knowledgable. The communication was great about that and when and it was great to be just simply guided along and not having tithing about much at all. Be prepared for some early mornings as this enables you to ee the sights and keep the tour on track.

Sometimes we were so busy we were late arriving back but food was served and everything worked out fine.

May weather was not as hot as I anticipated; the breezes at historical sites were welcome , the guides at each regions made clear what to expect and toilet and water breaks were available
Breakfasts at the hotels and cruise ships were international and did not lack selections.
Some unexpected; we added a day trip to Alexandria with round air, which turned into a trip with a driver and a guide. The visit to the Nbian village could have been longer and detailed
The airport security process with 2 checkin size luggages for us in the mid80s was worrysome. But our drivers and the airport helpers managed help with our luggages. Wow, I recomment Holiday in Egypr fir unique exoeriences in Egypt.

My husband, who is very careful when planning a trip, contacted this agency called Holiday in Egypt online.
We were a little apprehensive to go to Egypt because of the language and all the news about the Middle East.
This agency appointed its tourist guide named Mohamed Kamal,
who immediately started working on all our trip daily schedules, prices, transportation, and all necessary details for our trip.
Mohamed was in touch with my husband every single day before we personally met him in Egypt.
Once in Egypt, Mohammed was with us every single day, he speaks English fluently, he is highly educated about the ancient Egyptian culture, he took us to all the temples and planned touristic sites and we learned so much about the haroglyphics, tombs, pharaohs, Pyramids, etc.
With Mohamed, we were no longer apprehended or worried about the unknown he made our trip so pleasant and educational.
Not for one moment, he neglected us. He stayed on the ship and on land with us for the whole 5 days, making sure that all our needs were met.
If anyone asks me for advice, I highly recommend Mohamed Kamal and his agency for your trip to Egypt.

Booking the Trip
Even before the trip, it was a very easy experience booking the trip. Any questions were answered promptly. I must say, the customer service was so good.
Arrival in Aswan
Flying into Aswan, we didn’t know what to expect, from transport, to tours to accommodations. We were positive because even before we arrived in Aswan, our guide Mohamed Kamal was engaging us via WhatsApp. He received us with his ever-smiling nature, the same way he said bye at the end of day four. I think he might have a secret stash of happiness somewhere!
The Experience
It was a well-organized package, and we were taken care of all the time. I feel that we maximized our time and got more than the value we paid for in the short period of time. The tours, room/food on Renaissance and interactions with our guides were all pleasant. It certainly exceeded my expectations. I even learned how to say "thank you" in Arabic - "shukran"!
The Differentiator
The tour, food, room etc. is an integral part of any travel. The differentiator on this trip was Mohamed Kamal. Altogether, combining all the groups, I believe we were about 21-23 people. Even with these numbers, I constantly observed Kamal was attentive to everyone and tried to personalize the experience as much as possible. He was informative and very well organized. He communicated everything timely and there were no surprises for us. He took care of us from the time he picked us to the minute he dropped us off at the airport.
Recommendation
We highly recommend Holiday In Egypt. If you want an unforgettable experience, this is the way to go!

The focus was definitely on visiting one gift store after another, so we only got 30 minutes to explore some of the sights before taking the bus back to the next gift store. The day's program was never made transparent.
The entrance fees are not included in the price and have to be purchased from the guide for 100$. In the end, it turned out that the guide/organizer receives a surcharge on the tickets without this being communicated. The visit to the Abu Simbel temple is not included in the price and must be booked separately (120$ per person). This in turn was communicated. However, the ship in Aswan only departs after the Abu Simbel visit.
The provider writes that he offers full board, but this does not apply to drinks. You get one bottle of water per day in your room. You have to pay for water on the ship at lunch and dinner.
Unfortunately, our guide was poor and gave a lot of superficial half-knowledge. When it came to tipping, however, he was very precise. The provider recommends 8$ per day and person. The amount is paid to the guide by credit card at the end of the trip. He claimed that he had tipped all the staff on the trip and on the ship (in advance) and insisted on the full (recommended) amount. We decided to pay only a partial amount and tip the staff on the spot. This resulted in us being excluded from lunch on the last day. However, for €25(!) per person we would have been able to eat.
If you are really interested in the sights on site, we recommend the following: fly from Cairo directly to Abu Simbel and then take a cab (via Viator or GetYourGuide) to Aswan. Spend one night in Aswan and visit the Nubian Village, the dam and the Philae Temple. Then book a room for two nights (Aswan-Luxor) on one of the many ships that all depart simultaneously from Aswan to Luxor (we can recommend the "Renaissance"). On the way to Luxor, get off the ship and explore the double temple of Kom Ombo and the temple of Edfu on your own (or with a guide from the Internet). In Luxor, book a private cab (+guide) to take you to the three main attractions. This way you can organize your time freely and don't run the risk of becoming dependent on a single (bad) guide.

Our guide Mohamed , did its best to show us as much as possible ,despite the very crowded archeological sites. Of course,if someone wants to spend more time to the archeological sites,someone should book a longer cruise(we booked.the 3 night cruise).
The busses which transfered us to the diffesites were new and clean.
Also the driver who dropped us off after the tour helped us with a problem we had with the hotel we booked, not through the tour office, despite he wasn't obliged to do that.
Overall, it was a beautiful experience, and we recommend the office for sure.
It was amazing experience from start to finish.
We were looked after very well and we felt comfortable with our safety.
Egyptian people are very caring and kind.

The cruise ship in terms of layout is "historically beautiful" and certainly comfortable. Only the food was mediocre.
The Tour Guide Mohammed Kamal was very good he had a perfect pace and gave very useful information about the temples and locations visited. Particularly since we were a small group of 5 people, we were able to coordinate quickly and Mohammed Kamal supported us well with his planning and suggestions.
Only the visit to a store with perfumes and oils could have been omitted.

They arranged before and after accommodation at our request and we were even able to ask Tahir for an Egyptian SIM card when our phones wouldn’t work.
Sohaile and Kamal were excellent guides, staff at the hotel and included breakfast were also very good.
The boat trip over three nights was lovely - again food and staff excellent- and watching the Nile from our room was surreal.
They organised all the tickets for us, made sure we didn’t get lost in the sometimes very crowded pyramids and the places we visited were extraordinary.
We have recommended the company Holiday in Egypt to all our friends and in particular this tour as it is a very good price and the length of time was perfect for us.
If we go back to Egypt will have Holiday in Egypt as our tour company again.

It is an old ship, with old facilities, the bathroom in the room was leaking water from the shower, regular food, nothing to do with a real cruise. Everything creaks, the doors, the wood, they do not do anything to have shows or amenities that distract the passenger.

We always knew our itinerary ahead of time, our guide, Mohamed Kamal, was so friendly and knowledgeable. He kept things flexible and ensured we had ample time at the various venues, careful to focus on our desires and interests. Kamal is a proud Egyptian; he knows his heritage and took great pleasure in sharing and engaging with us making our time enjoyable and educational. The ship we were on was on the older side; however, the staff and service more than made up for that. Everyone on the ship was so friendly and accommodating. The food served at every single meal was EXCELLENT, laundry services were perfect and even the spa/massage services were all wonderful. Keep in mind there is NO WIFI SERVICE WHATSOEVER for the duration of the cruise! A few spotty moments at best so if you need to work I highly recommend purchasing a personal hotspot prior to departure.

The hotel food was dismal and even had to request a change of room as it was dirty on arrival. Not an ideal start to an 8day tour.
Yes, as other reviews have stated the manager does meet you and does his best on the upsell on excursions not included with the tour as well as SIM card… I left with a poor taste to start an 8 day tour.
I would only strongly recommend Mohammed who accompanied the cruise from Aswan to Luxor. He is knowledgeable, kind and was definitely the highlight of the trip. I would wholeheartedly say the tour was overrated, paid for 8 days when really you only have 6days and that too organisation and details are provided at the last minute.

Our biggest concern was food and it turned out to be very good. It felts home cooked and good variety. None of us got sick and always had a decent amount of food and choice. Rooms were clean and very comfortable beds and pillows. Staff very friendly.
Kamal was friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable about the sites. Highly recommend him. We really enjoyed our time
Together with him. He was very solutions oriented as we ran into issues with our flights and that was very appreciated. Very pleasant.
On the flip side I agree with some of the other comments. You are buying a seemingly cheap trip that quickly add on to nearly double the price once you add tips, entrances, and other tours. So I could highly advice to consider a total cost before booking. That said I still think it is good deal and I we loved it.
Be mindful as well that you will wake up early regularly to visit sites. But this is well
Balanced with the time you spend on the bus and navigation. So it is what it is. But don’t expect to sleep in any day. Siestas will be the alternative and with great setting flowing down the Nile.
Very nice trip!
The only drawback is that the program is so full that you can't really appreciate the sites.

We had a fabulous 9 days in Egypt.

From the arrival to departure all was taken care of. All transportation was on time. In Cairo we met with Mohamed C, who was very pleasant and explained all that is included and what is optional (excursions). We paid for an upgrade to fly to Aswan due to my health mainly, otherwise we would have been on an overnight train. Whilst in Cairo we stayed at World Trade Hotel … in what seem like a penthouse apartment – with balcony and amazing views of the city. We hardly made a use of it but are so grateful for the comfort we had - THANK YOU! We visited all as per schedule and had assigned driver Bob and guide Muhamed G. Bob was very reliable young man, who knows his way around incredibly busy Cairo streets, ensuring we are always comfortable. Sweet and chatty personality with great knowledge of Cairo.
Once in Aswan we boarded Le Fayan 2 ship for our 3 day cruise. Another Mohamed (Kamal) was our guide. He is a local to Luxor and everywhere we went he ensured we were never in a queue(!) Lots of people seem to know him and he was clearly liked by all. He was very patient (at times I missed some info in his speech), with a great knowledge of Egyptian history. Friendly, smiley and reliable person.
Due to delay in cruise ship arriving into Luxor, our schedule was bit delayed too. So, we ended up seeing Karnak Tempe the following day. This meant we took our bus to Hurghada at 5pm rather than 2pm. As we were going to arrive after dinner into our beautiful all-inclusive resort (Iberotel Casa Del Mar) Mohamed C advised we take a dinner and post the bill to them. After all it was not needed. Hurghada resort was lovely and clean, and staff very polite and accommodating. Great entertainment during day and evening. Assess to the sea through sister resort, next door – all so easy and well looked after.
Finally, going to the airport (back to Cairo from Hurghada) was planned and executed immaculately. We boarded a bus at 8.01 am for 6 hrs (to Nasr City as closer to the airport) and were collected by lovely Bob (hello again!) and taken to the airport with plenty of time for check in (started at 3.00pm) – you WILL NEED IT as its very busy and lots of security checks. Our flight was 18.10pm
Mohamed C was always available and efficient with his responses with very transparent communication. All was so well organised and executed. Accommodation was great throughout. Paying tips per person per day at the start ensured we were never hassled and always taken to right places for souvenirs. Every guide ensured to give us best advice ahead of time. We were little wary about this trip in terms of safety but quickly learned we were in great hands with no need for concern. Mustafa, Mohamed x 3 , Bob and all others along the way - well done! And THANK YOU for a wonderful experience!! We are sure to come back.

Landed in one day before cruising and did a tour of Giza pyramids and Sphinx. Kossan (tour guide) very knowlegeable, friendly and identified key points of interest in Cairo and Giza. Next day we flew to Luxor to catch our cruise and meet up with Kamal (tour guide). We were so fortunate to have Kamal show us historical sites from Luxor to Aswan to Abu Simbel. He listened to our needs, asked for confirmation on our meeting times in the morning, and shared with us local drink like sugar cane. Kamal was always available for whatever we needed or inquired. Furthermore, we visited places per our request shops to purchase spices, oils, and linens. The Egyptian merchants displayed their merchandise with no pressure to buy. The river cruise makes me appreciate the historical impact of the Nile River. When we returned to Cairo, we did another tour with Mohammad (tour guide) to see the Museum, Coptic and Mosque area, and the "Cave". ALL places visited we felt VERY safe. Highly recommend visiting Egypt and using Tour Radar, particularly since the drivers and tour guides knew the best times to visit the sites when less crowded.

Our accommodation in Cairo was in October City and there is nothing much to do there but there is a lovely pool area. We had just come off another tour so this suited us to have a day to relax. After our day tour of Cairo we flew to Aswan. Some of group did the overnight sleeper train which sounded awful so glad we had the flight. We were in a nile cruise for three nights - quality of accommodation and food was again excellent. Overall the tour was well organised with all transfers and bookings being very good. The only improvement would be to provide a clear itinerary of accommodation, transfers and flights - as we didn’t know where we were staying or what time our flights were until the day before. Our tour guide, Mohamed Kamal, took good care of us during the tour and provided us with really good and interesting information. Our operations contact, Alaa, also responded quickly when we asked questions. We loved everything we went to see on this tour - Egypt is amazing. Thank you team ?

Royal Elite ship was enjoyable, except the swimming pool was empty on arrival and then emptied again the following day for cleaning. We only could use it one of the three days. The cruise ship should …Royal Elite ship was enjoyable, except the swimming pool was empty on arrival and then emptied again the following day for cleaning. We only could use it one of the three days. The cruise ship should offer a REFUND due to the lack of swimming pool for two days. Buffet meals were delicious. Onboard Service was excellent. Lack of WiFi was an issue. No TV channels although each room has a TV. No hot-tub, spa or other amenities.
Tour guide Mohamed Kamal was knowledgeable and attempted to compensate for missed archaeological sites on the tour with a horse-drawn carriage ride around Luxor.
Lunch at the Egyptian restaurant on the final day was enjoyable. However, cramming four important sites into a day, after half the group got up at 4am for the balloon ride, was a bit much. I understand this was due to the late arrival of the ship into port in Luxor.
Communication was lacking upon arrival, with early pick-up scheduled two hours before necessary, leaving me siting alone on the ship with no Wifi or news of next steps. I had to return to my hotel (across the street) to contact the organizer to learn about plans. Lack of communication was sometimes a problem.
This tour did not take into account the age of most group members. Most people wanted to sleep rather than get up at 4 am each day. Boxed breakfast was terrible - mostly buns and sweet rolls. There were later balloon flights and Abu Simbel visit could have started at least an hour later. Knowing your audience is an important factor.
All in all, an enjoyable experience. The tour guide was good at compensating when issues arose. Kudos to Mohamed Kamal. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
