- Day 1
Arrival in La Palma
Your arrival day in La Palma starts with an airport pickup and a drive to your hotel in Santa Cruz. Once you're settled, there's an orientation meeting in the afternoon to go over what's ahead during your stay.
- Day 2
Los Sauces to Puntallana
A taxi takes you to Los Sauces for a hike along the Camino Real through the island's northeast. You'll walk through gorges lined with succulent plants, pass by banana plantations, and catch views of the Atlantic. The route connects several historic villages before you catch a return bus from Puntallana back to Santa Cruz.

- Day 3
Refugio el Pilar to El Paso
The day starts with a taxi ride to Refugio el Pilar for a high-altitude trek on the GR131 trail. You'll hike along ridge tops with views of both sides of the island, then descend through an old pine grove to reach the Virgen del Pino chapel. The centerpiece here is an approximately 800-year-old pine tree, the oldest on La Palma. A return bus from El Paso takes you to Los Llanos.

Tijarafe to Poris de Candelaria
After a taxi transfer to Tijarafe, you'll head out on a hike toward Poris de Candelaria on the northwest coast. The walk crosses the Jurado gorge and its distinctive 'rhino rock' formation before reaching a striking bay beneath a massive rocky outcrop. Locals call it the smuggler's or pirate's bay. The return bus from Tijarafe takes you to Los Llanos.

Virgen el Pino to Caldera de Taburiente
This hike takes you through Riachuelo Valley beneath the Cumbre Nueva. You'll see imposing rock walls, watercourses, and old water galleries as the path leads to Cumbrecita, a balcony overlooking Caldera de Taburiente. Pine and almond trees line the route, and you reach Mirador los Roques at approximately 1300m inside the crater basin. There's an optional detour to Mirador de las Chozas for more National Park views. Taxi handles both your pickup and return.

- Day 6
El Barrial to Pico Bejenado
You'll climb to the summit of Pico Bejenado, a 1854m volcano at the island's center that closes off the caldera crater to the south. From the top, panoramic views stretch across the entire island and into the National Park's crater interior. A taxi gets you to El Barrial, and another brings you back from Cumbrecita to Los Llanos.

Jedey to Fuencaliente
Your final hike shows off the Canary Islands' youngest geological landscape. You'll see San Antonio volcano and Teneiguía volcano, which erupted just 50 years ago and still carries the smell of sulfur. The route passes through vineyards and salt pans at Fuencaliente in the island's south. A taxi takes you to Jedey to start, your luggage moves to new lodging, and a bus returns you to Santa Cruz de La Palma.
