Overall the cruise was fantastic. The staff were awesome and took such good care of us. The food was great and the boat was for the most part comfortable. The only reasons I am not giving 5 stars are two...the tours were very disappointing. The location we went to were beautiful and interesting, and the tour guides were good, but the tike on the busses to get there compared to the amount of time we had to enjoy the sites was disproportionate. Typically we were on the road for several hours round trip but Typically only had on average 30mins to explore and enjoy. It would be far better to see fewer locations and get more time to enjoy them. One of the locations was an hour and half bus ride then a climb up 100 stairs to a cathedral and we had to be back at the bus in 30mins. My mother is elderly and slow as were many people on the tour. Most of them only had time to get to the top, find and pay for a bathroom and turn around and go back down. The bus got stuck in traffic for 10 mins, and we didn't even get to do the 2nd stop on the excursion. I highly recommend the company seriously reconsider reworking their tours. My only other complaint was the bed was as hard as a rock. Despite those concerns my trip was overall enjoyable and I would cruise with this company again.Show more

Relaxed good time. Floating down the Rhone was a delightful, beautiful holiday. Excellent food, cheerful very helpful staff. All were patient and helpful with English speakers. Comfortable number of people on board. Comfortable cabin with awesome big window. Some of the standard bus excursions could be improved. Too Long bus trip sometimes with tantalizing short time at the destination. I would gladly return to the Rhone Princess, but would check out some of the optional tours.Show more

Sometimes it was difficult to understand the announcements and the daily trips were difficult for the English-speaking translation. There was much explanation in French and not very much explained in English except for one guide. The guides attempted but the amount of information was not anywhere the same amount. Some of the trips were a lot of bus ride and not as interesting as indicated. I assumed that the tour would include more art. I enjoyed having the small number on board. The bus trips included too large of a group for some of the locations.Show more
