Johannesburg
You'll be picked up at OR Tambo International Airport and driven to your hotel in Johannesburg. If you arrive with time to spare, the Apartheid Museum, Johannesburg Botanical Gardens, and Constitution Hill are all nearby. At 6 pm there's a welcome meeting followed by dinner with your group at the hotel.

Johannesburg to Kruger National Park
This morning you'll head out early toward Kruger National Park, getting there in time for lunch at Mdluli Safari Lodge where you'll stay for two nights. This lodge operates through a partnership with the local Mdluli community. By afternoon you're heading out on your first open 4WD safari, looking for lions, elephants, rhinos, and leopards in their natural surroundings.

Kruger National Park
You start early and drive deep into Kruger National Park. Throughout the day you'll move through different landscapes—savanna, mixed acacia woodlands, and rocky hills—stopping at waterholes to watch zebras, giraffes, and African wild dogs. The safari wraps up at sunset when drinks are served on a kopje (ancient rock formation) at the lodge.

Kruger National Park to Victoria Falls
After saying goodbye to South Africa, you fly to Victoria Falls Airport in Zimbabwe and continue to your lodge overlooking untouched wilderness and a waterhole where elephants, buffalo, and kudu gather. You can relax by the pool or watch wildlife from the viewing decks this afternoon. Later there's an intimate dinner cruise on the Zambezi River with a four-course meal using fresh local ingredients, and you'll look for crocodiles, elephants, and hippos as the sun sets.

Victoria Falls
Your local leader takes you through Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage site with over 100 metres of falling water and deep gorge views. After that initial tour, the rest of your day is open. You can continue exploring the area on your own or take a swim at Devil's Pool, a natural rock pool at the waterfall's edge (season dependent).

Victoria Falls to Chobe National Park
After a relaxed morning, you cross into Chobe National Park in Botswana. The afternoon is yours to decide how to spend it. You might walk around Kasane town (watch for warthogs), relax poolside watching the sunset over the Chobe River, or sign up for an optional afternoon game drive in the park.

- Day 7
Chobe National Park
Start with a morning game drive through Chobe National Park, spotting the massive elephant and buffalo populations at watering holes, then return for breakfast. Afterwards you cruise along the Chobe River seeing saddle-billed storks, malachite kingfishers, fish eagles, hippos, crocodiles, and elephant families. A drink on board rounds out the evening as the sun goes down over the water.
