- Day 1
Kigali
You'll arrive in Kigali and check into your hotel, then spend the afternoon on a city tour. The itinerary covers the Kigali Genocide Memorial, the Campaign Against Genocide museum, Kandt House, and Camp Kigali Memorial before walking through the Nyamirambo quarter to get a feel for local life. Head back to your hotel for dinner and settle in for the night.

Kigali to Akagera National Park
This morning you'll fly out to Akagera National Park for a 2-hour safari tour through the warm, low-lying plains. You'll see savannah, woodland, wetlands, and lakes where the Big Five roam freely. After the wildlife tour, you'll return to your hotel in Kigali for meals and overnight.

Kigali to Volcanoes National Park
You'll fly to Volcanoes National Park in northwestern Rwanda on a scenic route that passes over twin lakes surrounded by steep, cultivated hills. The views of the Virunga Volcanoes are beautiful from the air, and you'll be heading to a park that spans five volcanoes across 160 km² of rainforest.

Mountain Gorilla Trekking
After an early breakfast, you'll drive to Volcanoes National Park offices for check-in and group assignment. Then it's off into the forest to track mountain gorillas and spend about an hour watching them up close in their natural habitat. Back at your lodge after lunch and some relaxation time, you'll have a cultural experience at Gorilla Guardians Village in the afternoon.

Golden Monkeys Trekking
Breakfast comes first, then you'll head to Volcanoes National Park office for check-in and group assignment. The morning involves trekking through the forest to find and observe Golden Monkeys in their natural setting. After that, you'll have the rest of the day to relax and rest up at your lodge.

- Day 6
Volcanoes National Park to Nyungwe National Park
You'll have breakfast at your lodge, then fly to Nyungwe National Park. Once there, walk through the ancient rainforest on a canopy walk, and later visit a tea factory to see how tea farms operate. This forest is one of Africa's oldest and best-preserved, home to 13 primate species, over 300 bird species, and various mammals.

Nyungwe National Park to Kigali
After breakfast, you'll drive to Nyungwe National Park office for check-in and guide assignment. You'll spend an hour with chimpanzees in the forest, observing these creatures that share 98% of our DNA. From there, you'll drive to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight.
