Itinerary
- Day 1
Frankfurt to Vientiane
You'll fly out from Frankfurt heading to Vientiane, touching down in Laos ready to begin your trip. After landing, you can settle into your accommodation and get oriented to the city. The evening works well for grabbing some food and taking a walk around your neighborhood to get a feel for the place.

Vientiane
You'll land in Vientiane and get transferred to your hotel to settle in. After dinner, take an evening walk out to Patuxai, the triumphal arch that defines Vientiane's skyline, so you can get a feel for the city as the sun sets.

Vientiane to Luang Prabang
Start your morning checking out Vientiane's temples, including Wat Sisaket with its thousands of Buddha statues, the golden stupa Pha That Louang, and Wat Phra Keo with its royal history. Then board an express train through the Laotian countryside to Luang Prabang. Once you arrive, walk around the UNESCO World Heritage City a bit, then grab a drink by the river to wind down.

Luang Prabang
Get up early to see the monks' morning alms round, and you can participate if you want to. From there, hop in a tuk tuk and see some of Luang Prabang's important temples like Wat Xieng Thong, Visoun, and Aham. Also visit the former royal palace and walk through the old town.

Luang Prabang
Hike out from a local village to reach Kuang Si waterfalls, where you'll have time to swim and have a picnic. Stop by a village that produces traditional rice schnapps called Lao-Lao to see how it's made. Get back to Luang Prabang in the afternoon, and if you're interested, check out Living Land Farm before the day ends.

Luang Prabang to Hanoi

Hanoi

Have some traditional pho for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the one-post pagoda, then spend the evening with locals around Westlake.

Head out to a traditional village near Hanoi for a water puppet theater performance. Return to the city afterward and visit the Temple of Literature. Later, take a train heading toward Halong Bay where you'll spend the night.

Halong Bay to Hoi An
In the morning, board a traditional junk boat to cruise through Halong Bay with its dramatic limestone cliffs that UNESCO recognized. Explore some of the caves and have lunch on the boat. Fly to Danang in the afternoon, then head to Hoi An where you'll stay for two nights.

Hoi An

Hoi An to Hue
Leave Hoi An heading toward Hue with a stop at the Marble Mountains to explore caves. Cross over the scenic Cloud Pass to Lang Co Lagoon and have seafood for lunch. When you reach Hue, walk across Hen Island. The day ends with a sunset boat trip on the Perfume River where you'll pass hills and reach Thien Mu Pagoda.
