Though, we did not see the Northern Lights, all the other activities exceeded my expectations. A great experience.   Great and knowledgeable tour guide. Was very helpful when activities were canceled and changed by the weather. I would add that I did not know there would be families on the tour with children under 10. There was tears/ tantrums/loud during talks/instructions ect with some of the children and as a solo traveller I was getting a bit frustrated. A group meal would be recommended to help break ice ect. I would also swap the snowmobiling and make that an optional activityShow more

  Overall the tour was good. we paid to update our room as we wanted a view of the river. The hotel was very good, meals were excellent. We booked an ENGLISH speaking tour. Aurora our guide did speak english but because there were 34 of the 36 people in our group did not. there were 18 spanish and 17 french speaking only! So had no opportunity to converse with others on our tour. At times we felt left out and lonely. we were very disappointed with this aspect of the tour. Especially when it came to instructions with snow mobile, didn't get to hear any english, so my confidence was low and ended up stopping after a short while , and not driving snow mobile, but got in sleigh pulled by Instructor. The husky and reindeer rides were fantastic , the highlight of our trip. The farms were interesting and well kept. The 5 hrs dropped off at Santa Village was too long . we ended up finding our bus and sitting there for an hour or so. Would have nice to be given option of a shorted time. The thermal clothing at Safartica was poor. The items were very used and not at all comfortable. I only ended up using the overalls, and my own boots, balaclava, socks, scarf and mittens. I would not recommend them. Over all we had a great time , but unsure if we would recommend the tour with others.Show more

  This tour was great to have everything booked for you and have all your travel organised to get to activities on time. Unfortunately though, we were put with a French tour group even though we though we were booking an English speaking tour, and we weren't told about this prior to meeting the group. So day 2 meeting in the lobby for the first time and seeing a whole group that couldn't speak English was very confusing for us. Our tour guide Alain was amazing, so friendly and helpful, and once he knew we spoke English, he would translate for us and tell the other operators to speak to us in English. But it was still disappointing as we were unable to mix with the group and make friends as we weren't able to communicate to each other. Also after being there, I feel that catching buses and organising your own activities probably would have been the cheaper option. The activities in this tour were great to enjoy rovaniemi in the winter time though.Show more
