Where will the departure airport be?

The Viva Mexico tour finishes in the beautiful palm-lined, tropical beach town of Playa del Carmen. If you're just doing our tour then going home, the closest airport to Playa del Carmen is Cancun International Airport. It's a simple 1 hour journey by taxi, which will cost around $50 USD. Alternatively, there are buses that go directly to the airport that cost around $10 USD (these leave every 1 hour from 5:00am to 8:00pm). We can organise this for you in Mexico.

Is the Viva Mexico tour available on November 22, 2025?

Yes we still have availability on the 22nd November.

What is the avg. age and how many people in the group for 17th Oct trip? Is there an option for a private room? Is this trip more adventure or history? Will there be days to do stuff on your own? Will there an opportunity to meet and socialize with people outside of the group? Like are there other groups staying in the same hotel?

Our 17th October start date has 13 bookings (only 3 spaces left) with majority of the group in their 20s and 30s. We can certainly look into the possibility of a private room for you. However we do room you with someone of the same gender (excluding multi-share accommodation) and try our best to room you with someone of a similar age. There is plenty to do on the tour but there will some free time if you'd like explore on your own! I cannot guarantee we'll bump into other travelling groups on the tour.

We each walk about 10 hours a week here in San Diego, California. Am I to assume from your website that this tour is recommended only for guests 55 and under?

Yes, unfortunately we can only accept bookings up to the age of 55 for our Mexico tours. The majority of our group members are in their 20's and 30's, so unfortunately I don't think our tours would be suitable for you.

Is it possible to get a list of the hotels we will be staying at? And how big is the group at maximum?

How does it work for the return flight? Would that be from Cancun since the Tour ends there? And what day/time would you recommend? Would there be a Transfer to the Airport?

What is the age limit for the tour? I'm a little older.

Our trips are generally for ages 18 to 39, but we welcome older travelers who are fit and adventurous.

How many travelers will be on my tour?

The group size varies, and we currently have several bookings, typically aiming for a maximum of 16 participants.

Day 4 and Day 5 of the itinerary are different. Could you please let me know where it indicates they are the same, so I can have a further look into this?

Yes, the minivan used for transport is air-conditioned and suitable for your luggage transfer.

I did the 2-week Viva Mexico tour with Ceci as my guide. Fourteen other people were on the tour and they became friends I know I’ll remember forever. The first week was a perfect mixture of fascinating culture, beautiful landscapes, and delicious food. The second week was more relaxed. We swam in amazingly blue water and watched the sun set together. As a leader, Ceci was equally responsible and passionate. She took care of us like we were family and danced with us like there was no tomorrow. :)Show more

Signed up to a group holiday for people aged 20-40 and horrified to turn up to the Mexico trip where it was just me and a deeply concerning couple in their mid 60s. They failed to inform me of the group composition before I travelled and if I had known would have chosen not to go a d save myself circa £3500 in total. Intro handled the situation appallingly, there were serious safeguarding issues where I was threatened by the couple and had to endure constant inappropriateness and racism. Overall I was placed in an unsupportive, isolating and wholly inappropriate position for the 2 weeks. It was meant to be a holiday of a lifetime, and whilst Intro refunded the tour after significant pressure from myself, I was the one who came back with the emotional damage and incurred the additional costs of flights and expenses. My experience of their complaints process was completely unprofessional. My complaint was handled by their chief drink spiller (his signature/styling) who was dishonest and did not follow procedure by escalating and pressure sold the company‘s final response without informing me of the actual formal ABTOT procedure. Overall don’t choose Intro! No guarantee that you‘ll get either a 20-40 holiday or even a group holiday, and if things go wrong, don’t have any faith the company will do the right thing.Show more

Viva Mexico was by far the best trip I’ve ever been on! I absolutely love intro travel and this was my third tour with them. I had Ceci as my main group leader and alongside her was Emiliano who was equally as great. The trip itself was so much fun with an equal balance of true authentic Mexican culture in the first half and relaxing vibes in the second half in the more Caribbean/touristic parts of Mexico. As for Ceci & Emiliano, their presence and passion for their job made the trip even more amazing. They were engaging, knowledgeable of their culture and always going above and beyond to ensure everyone was having a good time. They were kind and supportive and never pressured anyone to do anything they didn’t want. I highly recommend intro travel but most of all - pick a tour with Ceci or Emiliano as you’re guaranteed an amazing time no matter the location!!!Show more

The first half is a great introduction to all the incredible culture, people, food and everything in-between of this beautiful country (I guarantee you’ll fall in love with Oaxaca… and everywhere else of course) whereas the second half in the Caribbean is a lot more laid back with beach time, cenotes and of course a visit to Chichén Itzá. Ceci is an absolute legend, her passion and excitement for all the incredible things Mexico has to offer was contagious and for me elevated the trip to an even higher level. The first week is a lovely introduction to the Mexican culture with walking tours, visits to a local textile family, market visits & mescal tasting and the second week is more relaxed with some more beach time. The highlight for me was visiting a family near San Cristobal for some freshly made breakfast. Ceci was an amazing tour guide, she made everyone feel really comfortable and made the long drives go by faster with podcasts, games and music.Show more

The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
