    Asked on January 5th, 2026

We are a group of guys from Norway who have long dreamed of riding motocross in the desert. We are currently in the planning phase and see that you require an unrestricted motorcycle license — is that correct? I hold an A2 license, as it is called in Norway (medium motorcycle). I have owned and am, for example, legally allowed to ride an EXC 500.

    Tour Details
    • Explore Morocco TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

For off-road riding only, an unrestricted (full A) motorcycle license is not required. An A2 license is acceptable for our tours, as long as riding is limited to off-road areas and does not involve public roads. Please note: riding off-road motorcycles on public roads or inside villages is not permitted, and we strictly respect Moroccan regulations. We do not use public roads, villages, or paved areas. The routes are strictly off-road (desert tracks, dunes, and trails), which is allowed for guided tours.
