Itinerary
- Day 1
Cusco
You'll get picked up at Cusco airport or bus station and taken to your hotel in the city center, where you can check in at 1pm. The afternoon and evening are yours to rest and let your body adjust to the altitude. It's a good time to grab a meal nearby and get settled into your accommodation.

- Day 2
Rainbow Mountain
Your driver picks you up between 4:00 and 4:30am for the drive through South Valley. After about 3 hours, you'll stop for breakfast in Hanchipacha community. Then it's a short 15-minute drive to Quesiuno where your trek to Rainbow Mountain starts. The 3-hour hike takes you past alpacas and llamas with views of Ausangate Mountain and red mountain formations. Once you reach the summit at 5,020m (16,470 feet), you'll have roughly 30 minutes to an hour there for photos and exploring. The descent takes around 2 hours, and afterward you'll have lunch back in Hanchipacha before heading back to Cusco.

- Day 3
Machu Picchu
After an early pickup from your hotel, you'll drive about 1.5 hours to Ollantaytambo train station. The scenic train ride to Aguas Calientes takes 4 hours and passes through different ecosystems with nice views. Once you arrive, your guide meets you at the station for a 25-minute bus ride up to Machu Picchu. After going through the entrance with your passport, you get a 2-hour guided tour of the site followed by time on your own to walk around. Later you'll take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes to rest or walk through the village before catching the afternoon train back to Ollantaytambo. Your driver will take you back to your Cusco hotel from there.
