Itinerary
- Day 1
Cusco Arrival
You'll arrive at Cusco Airport and get picked up by a guide who'll fill you in about the city during the drive to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day however you like, whether that's resting from your flight or taking a walk around Cusco. If you're interested, there's a half-day south valley tour in the afternoon that covers Tipón, Pikillaqta, and Andahuaylillas, though it's optional.

- Day 2
Cusco City Tour
After breakfast at the hotel, your guided tour of Cusco kicks off around 1 pm. You'll see Santo Domingo Convent, which sits on top of the old Inca Coricancha temple, then check out the Cathedral at the main square. From there, head up into the hills to walk through Sacsayhuamán fortress and take in views over the city, then see the temple and amphitheatre at Qenqo and the Puka Pukara military complex. By evening around 5:30 pm you're back at your hotel.

Machu Picchu Expedition
Get an early breakfast, then pick-up happens around 4:30 am for the ride to Ollantaytambo train station. The train ride takes about 1.5 hours to Aguas Calientes, then it's another 25 minutes by bus to Machu Picchu. You'll have a 2.5-hour guided tour learning about the history and exploring the main structures at this Inca site. After lunch back in Aguas Calientes, you'll catch the train back to Ollantaytambo and get driven to your Cusco hotel later that afternoon.
