Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll land at Kathmandu international airport and get driven to your hotel. Your trek guide meets you at the office to go over what's ahead. Spend the evening walking through Thamel, which is where most backpackers hang out. You'll find shops, restaurants, and gear stores all over the place if you need anything before heading out.

- Day 2
Kathmandu to Pokhara
After breakfast, you'll check out and head to the bus park for the drive to Pokhara. It's a scenic route, so settle in for a few hours. Once you get to your hotel, the rest of the day is yours. Pokhara sits right on the lake and has great restaurants along the water, so it's a nice spot to grab dinner and get used to being here.

- Day 3
Pokhara to Deurali
You'll finish breakfast and check out, then drive about 30 minutes to Phedi where your trek starts. The path takes you through rustic villages as you walk upward, passing through Dhampus and Pothana before heading north toward Deurali. Mt. Machhapuchhre gets closer as you go, and from your lodge tonight you'll see Annapurna South and Hinchuli off in the distance. The elevation gain is steady but manageable for the first day.

Deurali to Low Camp
After breakfast, you'll trek toward Mardi Himal Base Camp through forest the whole way. The trail moves through nice tree cover, which helps with the altitude. You'll stop at Forest Camp for lunch, then keep going uphill to Low Camp where you'll sleep tonight. Mt. Machhapuchhre is the real highlight today, getting bigger and better looking the higher you go.

- Day 5
Low Camp to High Camp
This morning you'll head out after breakfast and follow the Nangge Danda trail along a grassy ridge toward High Camp. The views go all around you because you're on an open ridge. Keep your eyes open for the Daphne Pheasant, which is Nepal's national animal. From High Camp tonight you get an incredible view of Annapurna South, Hinchuli, and Mt. Machhapuchhre all in one spot.

- Day 6
High Camp to Mardi Himal Base Camp
Set your alarm for 4 am so you can eat breakfast and start early. You'll leave most of your gear at High Camp and trek up to Base Camp with just a light pack. There's a viewpoint where you can watch the sun come up before pushing on to Mardi Himal Base Camp on the west side. Spend time taking photos and enjoying the 360-degree views, then head back down to High Camp for dinner. Along the way you might see livestock grazing and more of those Daphne Pheasants.

- Day 7
High Camp to Sidhing
After breakfast, you'll start heading downhill with Mt. Machhapuchhre behind you. The trails on the way down are nice to walk, and you'll reach Sidhing Village by evening. It's a traditional Nepali settlement where you can learn a bit about how people live here and what daily life is like outside the tourist trail.

- Day 8
Sidhing to Pokhara
Your last trekking day is a half-day trek down to Lumre village, so you can take it easy. After that, a vehicle picks you up and takes you back to Pokhara where you'll check into your hotel. The afternoon and evening are open for you to rest up or try something optional like bungee jumping or paragliding if you're interested.

- Day 9
Pokhara to Kathmandu
You'll have breakfast, check out, and then drive back to Kathmandu. It's another scenic drive, so the time passes okay. Once you check into your hotel, the evening has a special farewell dinner planned with a live cultural show, so you'll get to see some traditional music and dance before wrapping up.

Kathmandu Departure
Eat breakfast at your hotel and check out. You'll need to leave about 3 hours before your flight, so factor that into your morning. The drive to the international airport takes you out of Kathmandu, and that's it for this trek.
