- Day 1
Windhoek
A driver will pick you up from Hosea Kutako International Airport and take you to your hotel in Windhoek. Once you're settled in, the afternoon is free for a township tour if you're interested. You'll arrange dinner on your own.

Windhoek to Keetmanshoop
Hotel pickup happens between 7-8 am, then you'll depart at 9 am heading south through the Kalahari Desert. The route passes through Rehoboth, which sits about 90 km south of Windhoek and is historically significant to the Baster people. You'll check into your hotel in Keetmanshoop in the afternoon and have time to rest.

Keetmanshoop to Fish River Canyon
Your journey continues toward Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon in the world. Outside town you'll see the Mesosaurus Fossil Site where quiver trees and other rare flora grow in the desert landscape. The canyon itself offers impressive terrain perfect for photography and taking in the scale of the rock formations.

Fish River Canyon to Lüderitz
After an optional early stop at the main canyon viewpoint, you'll drive west to Lüderitz, a coastal town with German colonial architecture reflecting its history. Along the way you might spot desert horses roaming the plains and pass through small settlements. You'll arrive at your hotel late in the afternoon. Dinner is at your own expense.

Lüderitz to Aus
Following breakfast, you can choose optional boat cruises if interested. The itinerary includes Diaz Point where you'll see birds and seals, then Kolmanskop, a ghost town built during the 1920s diamond rush and now reclaimed by desert sand. That evening you'll stay in Aus, a small mountain settlement overlooking the Namib Desert plains.

Aus to Sossusvlei
After breakfast you'll travel on dusty roads through rural communities heading toward Sossusvlei. Arriving at your lodge or campsite in the afternoon, you'll find it extremely hot, so cooling off by the pool is a good option. Get an early night since tomorrow requires an early start.

- Day 7
Dune 45, Big Daddy, Dead Vlei and Sesriem
You'll wake before dawn to reach Sesriem Gate and Sossusvlei. Climbing Dune 45 gives you views of the orange-colored landscape stretching across the horizon. After that you'll head off-road to Dead Vlei where ancient acacia trees stand dried and dark against the sand. Big Daddy or Big Mama can be climbed if you're up for the challenge. A light lunch and rest back at Sesriem breaks up the day, then you'll explore Sesriem Canyon before heading back to the lodge.

Sossusvlei to Swakopmund
Leaving the desert behind, you'll cross the Tropic of Capricorn and drive through the Gaub and Kuiseb passes, taking in the Kuiseb Canyon before climbing higher to see more desert vistas. Walvis Bay comes next where flamingos and other birds gather in the lagoons. After lunch you'll continue north to Swakopmund for the night. Dinner is at your own expense.

Swakopmund
You'll have the day to explore Swakopmund at your own pace. Optional activities available at additional cost include guided township tours in Mondesa, quad-biking, sand-boarding, scenic flights over the Skeleton Coast, catamaran cruises from Walvis Bay, and visits to the aquarium, museums, or crystal gallery.

Swakopmund to Twyfelfontein
Heading north you'll visit the Cape Fur Seal colony at Cape Cross, then turn east into the desert toward Brandberg Damaraland. This region is known for wildlife including elephants, giraffes, ostriches, and various antelope species. Optional activities include visiting local museums, learning about Damara culture, or exploring the Petrified Forest, which can fit into your arrival day or the next morning.

Twyfelfontein to Opuwo
After breakfast you'll continue north to Opuwo, the capital of the Kunene Region roughly 720 km northwest of Windhoek. Here you'll encounter the Himba people, a semi-nomadic pastoral community with distinctive traditions and cone-shaped homes. In Himba culture, cattle ownership represents status and wealth. You'll check in at your lodge and rest.

Opuwo to Epupa Falls
You'll travel through the mountainous Kaokoveld region to Epupa Falls for the day. This area has some of Namibia's most dramatic landscapes and the highest concentration of Ovahimba people. The Kunene River flowing through here has been a vital water source sustaining Himba communities for generations. You'll visit Himba settlements before returning to your lodge.

Opuwo to Etosha National Park
Leaving after breakfast, you'll drive through small villages on the way to Etosha National Park, arriving in the afternoon. Once checked in, you'll go on an afternoon game drive through sections of the park looking for wildlife. You'll reach your accommodation just before sunset, then get rest before an early morning tomorrow.

- Day 14
Etosha National Park
You'll start before dawn to experience the park when animals are most active. After breakfast, the full-day game drive takes you to waterholes, across the Etosha salt pan, and through areas where you might spot the Big Four and other species. A light lunch break gives you time to rest and recharge. In the afternoon you'll visit one more waterhole before returning at sunset, where you can share stories and photos over dinner.

Etosha National Park to Grootfontein
After breakfast you'll visit Bushmen land and see Hoba Meteor, the largest known meteorite still intact as a single piece and the most massive natural iron deposit on Earth's surface. You'll learn about the San people (also called Bushmen or Saan), Southern Africa's first inhabitants and traditional hunter-gatherers, including their way of life, customs, and cultural dances.

Grootfontein to Windhoek
You'll make the long scenic drive back to Windhoek, passing through towns and rural areas. In the small town of Okahandja you'll stop at Namibia's largest wood carving market where local cooperatives sell authentic Namibian crafts and souvenirs. You should arrive in Windhoek by mid-afternoon and be dropped at your accommodation.
