Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Cairo

    Meet Mahmoud at 8 AM and head out to see the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Kefren, and Mykerinus along with the Sphinx. After that, you'll drive to Saqqara and Memphis to check out more ancient sites. Lunch happens at a local Egyptian restaurant around midday. The Egyptian Museum is next on the list before heading back to your hotel by 4 PM. Later this evening, catch the Sound and Light show at the Pyramids starting at 7 PM, with return to hotel around 9 PM.

  2. Day 2

    Cairo

    Start at 10 AM with Mohammed exploring Cairo's religious and historical landmarks. You'll head to Salah El-Din Citadel first for views across the city, then move through the Muhammad Ali Mosque, Al-Nasir Muhammad Mosque, and Mosque of Sulayman Pasha. From there, check out the Al-Gawhara Palace Museum, Carriage Museum, Egyptian Military Museum, and Police Museum. You'll have time at Khan el-Khalil bazaar for shopping before returning at 3 PM. In the evening, a felucca sailboat ride on the Nile starts at 4 PM to catch the sunset.

  3. Day 3

    Cairo to Fayoum

    Depart at 8 AM heading to Fayoum Oasis, about 1 hour and 15 minutes away. Walk through Wadi El Hitan to see ancient whale fossils and visit the museum there. An oriental lunch comes next in the village. Later, you'll go to Qarun Lake to watch the sunset while looking for rare bird and mammal species. The day finishes with pottery-making at Zad El Mosafer Resthouse in Tunis village, where you can create your own ceramic piece to take home.

    Cairo

    Meet your guide at 9 AM in Old Cairo's Misr al-Qadima district. You'll tour the Hanging Church, Mosque of Amr ibn al-As, Ben Ezra Synagogue, and Coptic Museum, then move to Al-Sultan Hassan Mosque and ancient Coptic churches. Return to your hotel by 5 PM. At 6 PM, board a dinner cruise on the Nile with traditional entertainment including a belly dancer, Egyptian tea, and oriental music. You'll head back to the hotel around 11 PM.

    Check out and travel by train to Luxor in central Egypt. Your private guide meets you upon arrival and takes you to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore downtown Luxor at your own pace.

  6. Day 6

    Luxor

    Start at 9 AM with your guide on the west bank of Luxor. Head to the Valley of the Kings where you'll enter three tombs of your choice. Next, explore the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and see its colorful carvings and historical details. Before wrapping up, stop by the Colossi of Memnon. The guide drops you off safely at the end of the day.

    Luxor to Cairo

    Begin at 9 AM visiting Karnak Temple, the largest religious building ever constructed. You'll see colorful pharaonic carvings and paintings dedicated to Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. From there, head to Luxor Temple to see the grandeur of ancient Egypt. In the afternoon, get driven to Luxor station to catch the train back to Cairo. Staff meets you at Cairo station for transfer to Cairo International Airport for your departure.
