    • LimaToursOperatorWritten November 2024

Regarding your enquiry, please notice that the habitat of the pink dolphins is at the Amazon that it is located at Iquitos and you are requesting Reserva Amazonica that it is at Puerto Maldonado. In case you want to see pink dolphins, you can take the cruises at the Iquitos, that we can provide.

Can you explain the options if the flight does not arrive prior to 10am? Flights from Cusco do not arrive until 12noon, and I prefer not to have her stay overnight in Lima if it's not necessary.

    Asked on June 25th, 2023

I am looking for a tour in the Amazon Rainforest - would 3 days be sufficient or is 4 usually recommended? Regarding the accommodation, will there also be time spent there or is it mostly outdoors for the entire day? Trying to plan what sort of clothing to bring, and if any vaccines will need to be done before.

    • LimaToursOperatorWritten June 2023

The 4 days/3 nights program is recommended so that you can learn more about the Peruvian Jungle. To enter the Peruvian Jungle, the yellow fever vaccine is not mandatory, but it is recomendable to take it. Cotton clothing and long sleeves: To travel to the jungle it is important to wear comfortable, light and quick-drying clothing, preferably cotton. We recommend that the clothes cover the arms and legs and are light in color to avoid insect bites and possible chafing. Also, wear closed shoes or high boots to protect yourself from vegetation, insects and water in swampy areas.

Is it better to go straight from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado, or to fly back to Lima then fly/bus out again? If I book the 3 days stay, would there be the possibility of extending 1 more day later if I enjoyed it?

Is it fine if I wear trail running shoes in the Amazon? Or would I need to purchase hiking boots that cover the ankle?

    • LimaToursOperatorWritten July 2023

Of course it is better to take a direct flight from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado, but Latam airlines does not have direct flights everyday. Yes it is possible but it depends of the availability of the logde.

    • LimaToursOperatorWritten July 2023

It is recommendable to wear trekking shoes. Also, The lodge will provide boots but if you want you can bring your own boots.

I will be finishing a Galapagos cruise on December 13. What is the starting point and how does one get there from Quito?

    Transport
    • LimaToursOperatorWritten June 2023

The passenger from Quito must go to Lima and from there to Puerto Maldonado. The best thing would be to know the arrival time of the passenger to Quito, since depending on this we would have to see if he has to spend a night in Lima and just the next day go to Reserva Amazonica it is recommended to arrive before noon.
