I highly recommend the 5 days Nile cruise guided tour. You will get to visit the iconic temples in Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel and the mode of transportation varies from car, mini van, horse carriages and of course via cruise. Be prepared to do loads of walking but you will enjoy and be mesmerised with every steps that you take. My tour guide also ensure that we visited reputable shopping areas. I enjoyed myself thoroughly and as a solo female traveller, i felt very safe with my tour guide, Mr Mohamed Hashem. The tour agency contact person, Mr Ahmed Kadi, also make a point to connect with me during the tour to check on things.Show more

Great tour though the idea of 4 nights on the Nile is rather deceptive. While it is 4 nights on board the boat, there are only 2 actual days spent sailing enjoying the views, while the other two are spent docked, in Luxor & Aswan respectively. If parked between two other ships, this means no views for those days. There seems to have been poor communication between Tour Radar and the local company also. The contracted company used one guide for Day 1 and 2 who was based in Luxor, and then sent me a new person, for Days 3 and 4 who has only been instructed to join me the afternoon before. He also seemed unaware of my itinerary (!) The guides were all friendly and knowledgable but seemed to rush through the information before dispatching me to take photos at the various sights.Show more

The Nile boat administrations do not allow guides to stay due to the lack of possibility and priority for the guests. Therefore, so that there is no default on our part, we book hotels for the guides according to the program and provide them with a private car. This was my first Direct Tour experience ever and my first time to Egypt. My first impression of the Cruise Ship Princess Sarah was it definitely not the ship I saw in pictures but it still had a lot of the same flavor. Prior to this 4 day cruise, I had only been on a Carnival Cruise, which is a completely different animal. The rooms are small but you don't spend much time in them anyway. The mattresses could use some replacing as the firmness did bother my wife's back but I was fine! Make sure you get your phone carrier's International plan because there is a daily charge on the ship for WiFi and it only works in one room of the ship. The staff at Direct Tour was great! They keep in constant contact with you to make sure everything is running smoothly. My tour guide was wonderful! He made sure that all our needs were taken care of, including driving us to a clinic to make sure we had a Covid19 test in time to return from our trip back home. We found that our guide was very knowledgeable about everything Egyptian, not to mention, he was an Egyptian native himself. He made sure we knew what to expect and what to avoid when approached by local street merchants. Overall it was a great trip and a great experience! I would certainly use Direct Tours again in the future and I can't wait for my next trip!Show more
