The journey took us through the breathtaking Atlas Mountains, traditional Berber villages, and the stunning valleys that Morocco is famous for. Visiting Ouarzazate and the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou was unforgettable — the history, architecture, and landscapes were simply incredible. One of the most magical experiences was reaching the Sahara Desert near Merzouga, riding camels across the golden dunes, and spending a night under the stars at a traditional desert camp. The accommodations throughout the tour were excellent, from charming riads in the cities to the desert camp, all chosen for comfort, cleanliness, and authentic Moroccan style. Meals were delicious, with traditional breakfasts, desert dinners, and local specialties that gave us a true taste of Moroccan cuisine. Our driver was professional, friendly, and always made sure we were safe and comfortable during the long drives. The combination of well-planned itinerary, knowledgeable guides, beautiful scenery, and authentic cultural experiences made this 8-day tour perfect.   A group tour is what I expected. A solo tour with a driver is what I got. I found out right when the tour was to start. I was already in Morocco and couldn’t back out. My driver drove us from location to location for hours each day in silence (up to 9hrs of driving) only to get to the location to go to bed. I had a driver, not a tour guide. I would Google things I saw along the way. Morocco was beautiful but the local food was bland and not good at all. I was so surprised by this because of all the wonderful spices that were in the market. I was alone with no one to talk to or do exploring. I wasn’t comfortable going out into the Medina by myself. I stayed in Riad, absolutely stunning. The Riads are however located inside the Medina so again, I was stuck inside. Morocco, I was told, is beautiful at night and I wasn’t able to see that. If I were to ever go to Morocco again, I would not do this tour.Show more
