  A brilliant full on tour of historic Cairo. The accommodation wasn't five star but all the staff there couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast on the roof with a stunning view of the pyramids was an experience to remember. The tours were well organised and the Marko Egypt Manager Ali couldn't do enough to help, on call at all times and even arranging extra tours at 11pm at night for us. Esraa our guide was brilliant, so friendly and knowledgeable (I promise to keep our secrets Esraa) and her English was impeccable. There was just so much to cram in such a short time. The GEM tour alone with her was a once in a lifetime experience. Karim our driver (come font of all local knowledge Cairo) was fantastic, a friend for when we go back. The extra tour of Manshiyat Nasser and the Church of Saint Karas with him was an experience that will stay with me for life, for so many reasons. All in all a brilliant trip and we cannot recommend Marco Tours highly enough.Show more

  Excellent experience in Cairo. Everything went smoothly and the people at Marko were so helpful. We are a family of five and everything went brilliantly. Met at the airport exit by driver with name sign. Taken to the hotel with pyramid view from the roof terrace. Hotel (we had Top Pyramids Hotel) was clean, comfortable and had a rooftop restaurant with nice food and staff. Guide contacted us by WhatsApp to arrange start time. Itinerary as stated - Pyramids, Camel ride, Saqqara, Memphis, papyrus and perfume place, but no obligation to buy. Second day Grand Egyptian Museum for Tutankhamen, free time in the bazaar, then synagogue and Coptic churches. Lunch both days in nice modern buffet style restaurants with good Egyptian dishes. Breakfast in the hotel was really good and plentiful. The guide Khaled Ali was outstanding. Very knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and helpful to our needs. Must be one of the very best in Egypt! Safely back to the Airport on the fourth day - the driver was great. (Cairo driving is hectic.) The itinerary was as described and for two full days seeing the best of Cairo and the Pyramids it was fantastic value. (Glad we paid the extra to have all admission tickets done in advance and skip the queues.) And to have the free gift delivederd to us at the end - it was really so special.   This was my first time to Egypt as a solo female. I felt better going knowing I had a private driver, Ibrahim and a private guide, Walaa. I was always accompanied and never alone. Although it was really safe there. I had 2 full days of seeing everything from the Pyramids to the Bazaar. Lunch was delicious everyday and I am a picky eater! The Egyptian Museum was my favorite seeing all the artifacts and listening to Walaa tell the history. She is like a walking history book! I also booked the Nile River dinner cruise where Ibrahim accompanied me. It was a beautiful sunset cruise with some dinner entertainment. Highly recommend.. I would not go back to Egypt without booking this tour package. They made my experience unforgettable with their kindness and warmth and welcomed me to their country. They were very professional and I am very grateful to have met them. And to see a little of their world. Book with this company. You will not regret it! Thank you Ibrahim and Walaa...   It was amazing to see the pyramids and Great Sphinx of Giza up close. I think our favorite part riding the camels at the pyramids. We also went to the new Egyptian Museum in Cairo whited housed a large collection of Egyptian artifacts from the many time periods. They must have over twenty pharaoh mummies downstairs. I little much on the preserved people for me, but my son loved looking at the different ones and reading about them. Abla was our guide. She was so informed as she led us through the many exhibits and she helped us at each one take lots of great pictures. Adam was our driver. It was so nice to be picked up from the airport even at a crazy morning hour. He was so helpful. We found the Egyptians friendly and hospitable. Thank y'all for leading us our first time through Egypt.Show more
