  I was sure that my adventure was in good hands. He knew how to help me choose clothes, medicines and food with incredible knowledge, organization and kindness. I could see how wonderful he was not only with me but also with the team of 6 potters and the "food engineer". I spent 6 days getting lots of delicious food and lots of encouragement from everyone. Their work is exhausting, but the friendship prevails. on the way back, Mr. Gasto and the rest of the lovely team received me with so much celebration! I know that it would be impossible to have had this victory alone. Congratulations to everyone for the hard, serious work and especially for making 6 days so difficult into a journey also about trust and friendship. I will recommend this company to anyone who look to climbing mount Kilimanjaro.Show more

  Incredible Experience ! Tremendous and Incredible experience! Our guide was a gem & knowledgeable about both safaris as well as Kilimanjaro. We saw incredible animals (Unfortunately we missed Rhino out of the Big 5), landscape, and local people (also learned about different tribes in the Kilimanjaro region). We even learned somewhat Swahili! Our guide shared his knowledge about animals and their behaviour, plant life, the landscape, and history. We loved the lunches and surprise breakfast in the bush! We fell in love with it all. Our initial and constant contact throughout the booking and preparation process was with Lucas. He was quick to reply and was very helpful in finding out our desires and made sure the trip we would experience would be successful. In fact, the trip he put together for us far exceeded my expectations. I booked the safari (4 days) as well as Kilimanjaro for 6 days via the Machame route. As you know, It is scary booking a trip of a lifetime and making a deposit in advance to be able to get lodging booked. You send the money hoping this is really a legit company that will take care of you. Let me assure you about Lucas and Serengeti African Tours, this company is top-notch and will honour their word! We were personally welcomed to Tanzania by Gasto (Great Guy). He was there to greet and welcome me to our long-planned Kilimanjaro trip as well as safari, also gave me a short trip around Moshi and the local market, and then during my stay in Arusha, Lucas greets and welcome me and made sure everything is great.   AN AMAIZING EXPERIENCE We had a team of 7 successfully summit Kilimanjaro via the Machame route. Our trip was truly amazing! The climb for our team was successful and really enjoyable. The entire team who took care of us exceeded our expectations. We started planning the trip over a year ago and the entire process from beginning to end was incredibly smooth. Our guides and porters made us feel at home and did everything they could to make us comfortable. The food was incredible and our camps were always so nicely set up. I would highly recommend using your company for a climb to any friend or family who would like to make the trip. We have made so many memories that will last a lifetime in Tanzania and really appreciate your support making it happen smoothly!Show more

  Gasto is wonderful, caring, funny, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. A combination of the tour guides, porters, cooks, and other hikers made this an unforgettable experience. They are trustworthy. When spending 7 days on a mountain hiking without running water, you’re bound to have some low moments. For me it was at the peak, the high altitude was difficult to manage. Thankfully the guides were by my side supporting me. Gasto always checked in to make sure I was feeling okay and had such positive spirits. I’m so grateful for them. Everything about the experience was better because of the amazing crew.Show more

  Lucas and Serengeti African Tours were a fantastic company to climb the Kilimanjaro Lucas and Serengeti African Tours were a fantastic company to organise our trip to Kilimanjaro. We chose the 7 days machame route, and from the very beginning Lucas was super comprehensive and was able to answer all our questions about the trip. When we arrived in Tanzania, Lucas picked us up at the airport and organised very well all the remaining of the trip. Gasto and Beatrice were our two guides, and they were fantastic and supportive throughout all the journey. They started meticulously to check all our equipment the day before the start, and throughout the whole climb they have been terrific with countless tips, funny stories, and a superb knowledge about the mountain. We managed to reach the Summit without much of a problem thanks to our guides and the way they prepared and supported us throughout the whole journey. Especially on Summit night, when we were close to give up a couple of times, Gasto pushed us through constantly until we finally made it to the top. It was a magical experience, and we are really thankful to Lucas and the whole crew to be such a organised, well prepared and fun company to work with. Oh and if you are wondering how the crew is treated and especially porters: Serengeti African Tours tend to go more or less always with the same people, all of the people are treated more than fairly and it felt like we were part of a family who have been working together for a long time.
