Itinerary
- Day 1
Cusco to Mollepata - Soraypampa
Your pickup happens at 5AM from your Cusco hotel, and you'll arrive in Mollepata by 9AM to start the trek. From there, you'll hike about 4 hours through scenic terrain with your guide, taking in the local flora and fauna as you head toward Silcakancha. After stopping for lunch with good views of the surrounding landscape, the hike continues for another 3 hours. By evening you'll reach Soraypampa camp where the chef prepares traditional local dishes for dinner.

- Day 2
Soraypampa to Colpapampa
Wake early and have a substantial breakfast before starting your hike from 3400m elevation up to 4650m. You'll pass through the mountain pass as the altitude climbs steadily throughout the day. By nightfall you'll arrive at Colpa Bamba camp where you'll spend the night. Oxygen is on hand here in case anyone needs it due to the higher elevation.

Colpapampa to La Playa
Breakfast is at 6:45 a.m., then you'll continue hiking toward Lluscamay. During the hike you'll cross old Inca bridges as you make your way to La Playa, a small remote village with real charm. You'll have dinner there and set up camp in the village for the night.

Landmarks Inca Bridges - Day 4
La Playa to Santa Teresa to Aguas Calientes
After breakfast, you'll take a truck for rural transport heading to Santa Teresa village. From there, hike for roughly an hour along the Urubamba River until you reach the hydroelectric dam. You'll stop for lunch and have time to relax before boarding the train to Aguas Calientes. The 30-minute train journey brings you to Aguas Calientes where you'll check into your hotel or hostel.

Landmarks Urubamba River - Day 5
Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu
Following breakfast, you have two options to reach Machu Picchu's entrance: either a 90-minute hike or the bus if you prefer. Once there, a 2-hour guided tour takes you through different sections of the park, and then you can explore on your own schedule. If you're interested, ask your guide about climbing Huayna Picchu during your free time. In the afternoon, take the bus back down and catch the train to Cusco, arriving the same day.
