Itinerary
- Day 1
Kigali to Musanze
Your guide picks you up from your hotel in Kigali to start the city tour. You'll visit the genocide memorial site, then walk through both the old and new parts of the city to get a sense of how Kigali has changed over time. After that, you're heading to Musanze where you can see the Virunga mountains rising up in the distance. Later in the day, you'll spend time at Iby'lwacu cultural village to see traditional Rwandan life and customs firsthand.

- Day 2
Mount Bisoke Hike
An early breakfast gets you ready for the day ahead. By 7:00 AM you'll be at Kinigi Park Offices for briefing and registration. Then the hike up Mount Bisoke volcano begins, climbing to 3,711 meters with guides and porters helping along the way. You'll have a packed lunch somewhere during the trek, then keep going to reach the crater lake at the summit where you can see the vegetation and views from up there. By evening you're back at the starting point, grabbing dinner and settling in for the night before gorilla trekking tomorrow.

- Day 3
Gorilla Trekking and Dian Fossey Campus
After an early breakfast, you're transferred to park headquarters with your packed lunch ready to go. Park rangers brief you on the rules for gorilla conduct before heading into the forest. The trek to find gorillas can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours depending on where they've moved that day. Once you find them, you'll have about an hour to watch and photograph them in their natural setting. After that, you'll visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund to learn more about gorilla conservation work and research happening in the region.

Kigali and Departure
You'll have an early breakfast and then check out of your accommodation. Your driver takes you back to Kigali city where you have time to browse local markets for souvenirs before heading to the airport for your flight home.
