Finally, am I fine carrying just a daypack during the trek, or should I expect to carry a larger backpack?

Please note the tea house lodges available en-route during trekking have hot water facility and wifi at most of the lodges, which is included in the package. Regarding luggage, you are requested to make a rucksack pack. Porter service is not included so you need to carry by yourself. If you want porter to carry bag we can arrange, which costs you US$ 175 nett extra. If you hire porter you will carry only a day pack including water bottle, camera, personal belonging.

Would you be able to get views of Mt Everest on this tour?

This Annapurna Panorama Trek is in the Annapurna trekking region of Nepal where you get to see Annapurna mountain range, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli etc, but not Everest. If you want Everest view trek we suggest Everest Base Camp trek, Pikey peak trek etc. Also if you don't want to trek we have option of Everest flights.

Could you please clarify on day 3 where it says "we will cover 42kms", How much of that distance actual trekking vs driving?

On day 3 from Pokhara to Nayapul drive approx 1.5 hrs drive and then we start trekking till Tirkhedgunga. Approx 2 hours of trekking, which depends on individual hiking/trekking experience.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience touring the city of Kathmandu with our tour guide. We arrived from India and had forgotten our camera and our tour guide, Raj, was so kind to offer his to borrow for our entire trip! We came at just the start of monsoon season so we weren’t sure what to expect with our site seeing and how the weather might be but were pleasantly surprised we could do so much. At the end of the day we were pretty tired but content with getting to see so much! The tour guide company was very flexible and accommodating with our needs too. They were willing to let us pick different temples to see and allowed us to take a side quest for massages after our muscles were aching! Raj was able to quench my husband’s thirst for knowledge and kept all the interesting facts and stories coming. He was willing to hike up Chandragiri hills with my kids to satisfy their need to trek (fair warning: you probably don’t want to do this in monsoon season unless you’re prepared to pull off a crazy amount of leeches that come crawling on you. Eeek!) otherwise the view up top was good - they also had sky cycling (don’t waste your money on this lol) and zip lining (better choice). Kathmandu has a heck of a lot to offer and if you don’t have time to read up on all its history before you go, Raj will surely deliver! The Taleju hotel we stayed at was situated in the heart of the city and where tourists will enjoy great shopping finds. The view on the outdoor patio of the hotel garden at breakfast was just divine. The car which was provided for our journey from Kathmandu to Chitwan was spacious and comfortable. The roads are not so well maintained but our driver did a great job at keeping us safe on the road. Chitwan was such a wonderful place and will hold a special place in my heart. We learned a lot about the history of the Tharu people and had a wonderful canoe ride followed by an incredible sunset picnic! We couldn’t believe the wildlife sights on our safari tour - rhinos literally 15 feet from our car, crocodiles, thankfully not too close to us, but wading in the same river we’re paddling through! Kingfishers and spotted deer. Our guide helped us spot all these animals in the wild and let us linger if needed for a great pic. The preset meals at the resort were very filling and kept us powered for our journey. We actually felt too full and would skip a meal. Pokhara was a beautiful place as well. We were initially wondering where the mountains were and why the hotel description mentioned great Mountain views. In the morning we went up to the restaurant and the hotel employee told us we were lucky as the clouds had finally parted enough and then my jaw dropped. So the mountains were just hidden because of the clouds. Amazing views. That was pretty much the only highlight for the hotel but the tour company rectified any issues we had. Pokhara is also known for more tiny power outages, so just be prepared to enjoy the scenery and disconnect! Raj and his team were also able to secure a couple spots for my teenagers to go paragliding (wahoo!) We were able to see the Annapurnas at sunrise from Sarangkhot and enjoyed a walk near the lake at sunset. Back to Kathmandu and our tour guide allowed an added day of touring at a reasonable rate. A trip back to the airport after a misplaced passport and off to another temple and for shopping! Raj was just a delight and so willing to help us have an incredible memorable experience in beautiful Nepal. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide and this tour was very well put together. Thank you!! Tip for future travelers: wear good walking shoes and have cash for all the entrance fees and some more cash for shopping/tips etc. women- make sure you have a shirt to cover shoulders when entering temples and dress modestly. Haggle with the sellers to get a better price on the items you like. If you don’t like their prices, you can move on as you might find it cheaper somewhere else. Be flexible with an open mind and you will have fun!Show more
