An e-bike option (at additional cost) may be available on this trip. We have limited numbers of these bikes available and they are an 'on request' basis only. E-bike hire only applies to days 6 & Our operations team will verify availability when a request is received and you'll receive final confirmation once the e-Bike hire is confirmed. There are 2 nights of camping with basic facilities included on this trip. You do not need to bring your own sleeping bag or sleeping mat. Sri Lanka in January is warm and dry overall. Coastal and lowland areas (like Colombo) can have night temperatures around 22–25 °C. In the hill/mountain regions (like Kandy, Knuckles), nights can be slightly cooler, but generally still comfortable compared with many temperate climates.

How much money will we need for lunches and dinners?

This is totally dependant on your dining style! A typical meal in Sri Lanka can range from $8-15. Sometimes there will be cheaper options and sometimes there will be more expensive options, depending on the type of dining style you choose.

Ku was a great guide, my only criticism would be that he was on his phone or computer a lot, so he wasn’t always fully engaged with us. Although I understand he had to communicate to check on the river/camping situation. In the evenings he didn’t eat with us or socialize with us much, which was also a bit disappointing.Show more
