Itinerary
- Day 1
Kigali to Musanze
Your guide picks you up from your hotel at 8:30 am to start exploring Kigali. From there, you'll drive to Musanze, Rwanda's second-largest town, where volcanic peaks of the Virungas rise up around you. Once you arrive, you'll check out the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund to learn about gorilla conservation work and research happening there.

- Day 2
Mountain Gorilla Trekking
After an early breakfast, you'll head to Volcanoes National Park headquarters at Kinigi to meet your guides and handle park paperwork. Then you'll start mountain gorilla tracking through the forest on the volcano slopes, spending about an hour observing these primates in their natural setting. Later in the day, you'll visit Gorilla Guardian Village to get a sense of local Rwandan culture and how communities live near the park.

- Day 3
Golden Monkey Trekking and Return to Kigali
Following early breakfast, you'll meet your guides at National Park Headquarters for golden monkey trekking. You'll track these rare primates, recognizing them by their bright golden bodies and black markings as you move through the forest. After the trek wraps up, you'll be driven back to Kigali for your flight home, so plan for a late departure at 9 pm or later that evening.
