  I really enjoyed my tour in the Atlas mountains. The scenery and landscape of the mountains was breathtakingly stunning. We walked at a pace which was comfortable for everyone. I can not fault the standard of food which was served, and more importantly, I never felt hungry throughout the duration of the tour. As I enjoyed the trek so much I have booked another tour to climb the Toukbal in May 2020. Thank you to Ichfen and the team at Moroccan Mountain Tours.Show more

  Hamid was lovely, as were both the cooks. They all seemed to smile the whole time and nothing was too much trouble. The Food was a real highlight of the trip and we enjoyed every bite. We were lucky with the weather and it was a huge bonus to have a go in the local Hammam! The accommodation was very basic, the showers didn't work, neither did the taps on the first night but we all left with wonderful memories and happy faces. The experience was wonderful and the people we met couldn't have been more charming or lovely. We were even given home made doughnuts for tea! A special weekend. Thank you.Show more

  I have no hesitation in recommending this tour. Hamid, our guide, was charming and knew exactly how to pace each days trek. We had two wonderful cooks, Hamid and Saiid who made the most delicious meals, lunch being every day in the open on the mountain. The accommodation is basic (a mattress on the floor) and the plumbing primitive. If you want modern toilets then I suggest you go trekking in the Alps. Personally it didn’t bother me and we thought the trip was a resounding success.Show more

  Took a risk and booked this tour on my own, was obviously apprehensive about going to Morocco on my own but this tour was absolutely amazing and one of the best experiences of my life. My guide Abdul was brilliant, spoke great English and was completely fine to walk at the pace i wanted to and was fine with taking breaks and taking photos for me. He answered all my questions about the Berber people/ way of life and the mountains. The mountains are absolutely beautiful, some of the best views i've ever seen. We also visited the waterfall on the last day which was really cool but did add on an extra 2 hours to the trek (worth it) I have never been so overfed in my life by Hamid the cook! I was served portions for 2 or 3 people with every meal of the nicest Moroccan food imaginable, huge salads, Tagine, cous cous, meatballs and lots of Mint Tea and coffee! The trek itself was easy on the first day but quite challenging for the second and third day, be sure to bring decent walking boots/trainers, some of the terrain is quite tricky and plenty of sleep descents. The accommodation is extremely rustic and simple, be warned there is no toilet or shower in the guesthouse in Tinzert! Bring hand sanitizer or your own soap! The guesthouse in Tizi Oussem is a lot better with a shower and decent toilet facilities. Would definitely do this tour again and strongly thinking about coming back next year to do the Toubkal mountain trek. If i could change one thing it would be to make the first day of trekking longer, we only walked for around 2.5 hours and then had all afternoon and evening with nothing to do in Tinzert.Show more

  I can’t begin to express how amazing this experience is. Everything is arranged door to door, food, transport and accommodation so all you have to worry about is enjoying the experience. The guides are top notch and are all locals so they have a deep knowledge of the people and the place where you are hiking.Show more
