This trip was exactly the kind of adventure we were looking for. We wanted to experience the quieter side of the Sahara, and Erg Chigaga was beyond anything we had imagined. The journey itself was incredible. Walking across the soft sand, watching the sunset, and spending the evening around the campfire with traditional music created memories we'll never forget. One of the things we appreciated most was the pace of the trip. We never felt rushed, which allowed us to really enjoy each stop and take in the beauty of the landscapes around us. Our driver was fantastic throughout the journey. He was professional, friendly, and always happy to explain the history and culture of the places we visited. His passion for Morocco made the experience even more meaningful.

We weren't looking for a big city tour or a packed schedule; we mainly wanted to see the desert, visit some kasbahs and enjoy the landscapes. This tour suited us perfectly. The kasbahs were a pleasant surprise. Some of them looked almost unreal against the dry landscapes, and we enjoyed hearing about their history and how people used to live in these places. The desert was the part we were most excited about, and it didn't disappoint. We had a great time among the dunes and really enjoyed the peaceful evening at the camp. It was nice to have some time away from the usual tourist crowds. Everything was easy from start to finish. The driver was friendly, the journey was comfortable and we never felt pressured to hurry through the stops. A simple and enjoyable way to discover the desert and the kasbahs. We'd recommend it, especially if you don't have many days but still want to experience this side of Morocco.

Growing up in these mountains, he provided a unique window into the local culture that I truly appreciated. Our cook, Iahsen, was extremely talented, and I felt lucky to enjoy his delicious meals every day. I really appreciated the Amazigh Voyage team’s flexibility throughout the trip. When my luggage missed a connecting flight, they accommodated a late start so I could retrieve it, and they seamlessly rearranged my itinerary when I decided the conditions were too harsh to summit Mount Toubkal. Because I traveled during a late December cold spell, the journey was occasionally challenging. You stay in authentic Berber homes that sometimes lack heat or hot water, so it is essential to pack accordingly and remain flexible if weather forces a route change. For logistics, I recommend packing light since luggage is carried by donkey, though the staff kindly allowed me to store items I didn't need for the trek. For me, this was a perfect, authentic adventure. Big thanks to the Amazigh Voyage team for all of their hard work and hospitality.
