I am interested in the Buenos Aires to Santiago de Chile (9 Days) but would like help with booking an internal flight on Day 5 from Buenos Aires to Mendoza, instead of the night bus. Are you able to help with this?

    Tour Details
    Transport
    • Hi Travel ArgentinaOperatorWritten September 2025

If you prefer to book a flight from Buenos Aires to Mendoza, you should know that the itinerary will have one less day without the night bus. The price I'm finding for the flight (already discounting the bus tickets you will be replacing) is around 1500 USD. You should keep in mind that flight prices change constantly, so it can vary until the moment it is issued. Regarding which airlines to book with, you could choose JetSmart, which is usually good for our domestic flights. And you should look for the departure Airport in Buenos Aires to be AEP (Aeroparque), which is mostly used for the domestic flights and it's nearer to the city. Would you like us to include transfers to/from the Airports as well if you decide to book the flight?

Is there a train going to iguaza Falls?

    • Hi Travel ArgentinaOperatorWritten May 2025

There's no train going from Buenos Aires to Iguazu. So the best way to get to Iguazu Falls is taking an overnight bus. They have different categories, we can issue a "cama" service with meals on board included.

    • Hi Travel ArgentinaOperatorWritten May 2025

Flights are reliable and there are many choices of timetables. So you can fly in and out, BUE-Iguazu-BUE or you can fly to Iguazu on your international flight.

Can you confirm the following please: whether it is a guided tour, how big is the group, how big is the bus. If day 1 is the Thursday we don't actually start until day 2 the Friday as we do not need a pick up fro the airport as we will already be in B.A. I am travelling with my mum who is 89 so we wont be doing white water rafting in Mendoza (or horse back riding) and she wont do the bike riding in Santiago.

    • Hi Travel ArgentinaOperatorWritten February 2022

Yes, even though you are fully vaccinated this route Mendoza and Santiago is not available for regular services due to strong bureaucratic procedures in the border with Chile. If by the date of your departure the problem is solved, you will be able to take the bus. But if the problems persist, you may need to take a flight from Mendoza to Santiago.
