This trip visits places at high altitude, and some people can suffer from altitude sickness, regardless of age or physical health. Parts of the trip go above 2800 meters / 9200 feet where travelers can experience adverse health effects. Please consult your doctor for professional advice about travelling at high altitude if you have a health condition.

Am I required to be vaccinated on this trip?

From 1 January 2023, Intrepid will no longer require travellers to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 for this trip. However, we continue to strongly recommend that all travellers get vaccinated to protect themselves and others.

I had an incredible time during my vacation in Peru. The country's rich history and unique culture instantly captivated me. From exploring the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu, to wandering through the colonial architecture of Cusco and Lima, every moment was unforgettable. The food was also a highlight of my trip, with delicious dishes like ceviche and lomo saltado leaving me wanting more. Moreover, the people I met during my trip were friendly and welcoming, making me feel at home in a foreign land. Overall, I can't recommend Peru enough as a travel destination. The combination of history, culture, cuisine, and hospitality made for an unforgettable experience that I'll cherish forever.Show more
