Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and meet your Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition representative who'll arrange your transfer to a hotel in central Kathmandu. After settling in, you can either rest or stop by the NGT office to gather information about your upcoming climb. The company organizes a welcome dinner that evening to kick things off.

Landmarks Tribhuvan International Airport - Day 2
Kathmandu
This day focuses on handling all the paperwork and logistics for the Three Peaks Climb covering Island Peak, Lobuche Peak, and Kyajo Ri Peak. You'll meet your climbing crew including your Sherpa Guide and the rest of the team. Another welcome dinner takes place with everyone involved in the expedition.

Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
Head to the domestic airport for a 35-minute flight to Lukla, your entry point to the Everest region. Once you land, the trek begins on a gradual uphill trail following the left bank of the Dudh Koshi river. You'll pass Mani walls and Ghat along the way before reaching Phakding for the night.

Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Starting from Phakding, cross a small stream and climb toward Bengar. The trail has varied ups and downs as you continue, then you'll register at Sagarmatha National Park Service and pay your park entrance fee. After a steep ascent, you'll arrive at Namche Bazaar, known as the Sherpa Capital, where you'll spend an extra day for acclimatization.

Landmarks Sagarmatha National Park Namche Bazaar - Day 5
Namche Bazaar
You'll take a rest day in Namche Bazaar to help your body adjust to the altitude. Wander through the busy market streets and explore Sherpa culture. If you're feeling up for it, there's an optional hike to the Sagarmatha National Park Museum or the villages of Khunde and Khumjung, which provides good acclimatization at higher elevation.

Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche
Trek on an uphill trail heading above Namche and the National Park Museum toward Khyangjuma, where tea houses line the route. You'll see nice views of Ama Dablam to your right during the trek. Later, descend on a stone-paved trail to Phunke Tenga and climb through pine forest. After crossing Tyangboche hill and ascending switchbacks, you'll reach Tyangboche.

- Day 7
Tyangboche to Dingboche
Start early to visit Tyangboche Monastery and watch the morning prayers. The eldest monk offers blessings for a successful summit climb. After this, continue trekking with views of Ama Dablam and Kantega throughout the day. Trek gradually uphill to Pangboche and its monastery, pass through a large mani stupa, then do a moderate trek to Dingboche.

- Day 8
Dingboche to Island Peak Base Camp
After breakfast, trek gradually uphill into the high Imja valley with beautiful views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Island Peak, and surrounding mountains. Keep trekking until you reach Island Peak Base Camp, where your Sherpa crew will set up camp at the foot of Island Peak's south ridge beneath the walls of Nuptse and Lhotse.

Landmarks Ama Dablam Lhotse Nuptse Island Peak - Day 9
Island Peak Summit
Start very early heading toward the Island Peak summit, aiming to reach it before noon since winds typically pick up after midday. With your climbing gear and proper acclimatization, follow your experienced Sherpa climbers through several technical sections to reach the top. You'll see views of Mt Lhotse, Mt Makalu, Lhotse Middle Peak, Lhotse Shar, Mt Nuptse, Mt Baruntse, and Ama Dablam before descending back to base camp.

Island Peak Base Camp to Dingboche
After summiting Island Peak, you'll retrace your steps back to Dingboche along rocky trails while your Sherpa crew handles carrying the tents and climbing gear. Overnight at Dingboche before heading toward Lobuche.

Dingboche
This is an extra contingency day set aside in case bad weather prevents travel or climbing.
- Day 12
Dingboche to Lobuche
After breakfast, trek downhill from Dingboche to Pheriche village. After roughly two hours from Pheriche, you'll reach Dugla with a small wooden bridge crossing the Khumbu glacier outflow. During your trek, you'll see nice views of Mt. Pumori and other high peaks west of Everest. Continue until you arrive at Lobuche.

Lobuche to Lobuche Peak Base Camp
This is a shorter, easier trekking day. Spend time in Lobuche then follow an easy trail to Lobuche Peak Base Camp. Your Sherpa crew will set up camp and prepare for higher altitude camps. You'll have plenty of time to rest and get ready for the climb to higher elevations.

Landmarks Lobuche Peak - Day 14
Lobuche Peak Base Camp to Camp I
Leave base camp and follow a narrow trail that's often snow-covered and icy. This climb is tiring, so taking regular breaks helps restore your energy. After a few hours, you'll reach a good campsite at 5,400 meters. Your Sherpa crew sets up camp quickly and does final checks on your gear and health.

Landmarks Lobuche Peak - Day 15
Lobuche Peak Summit
Start early with full climbing gear, aiming to reach the Lobuche Peak summit before midday. Follow your experienced Sherpa guides through several technical climbing sections. At the summit, you'll see views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Nuptse, Pumori, Ama Dablam and surrounding peaks in the Khumbu region before descending to base camp.

Lobuche Peak Base Camp
This is an extra contingency day set aside in case bad weather prevents climbing or travel.
- Day 17
Lobuche Peak Base Camp to Dzongla
Pack your gear at base camp after summiting Lobuche Peak and retrace the trail back down to Lobuche. From there, descend about twenty minutes to Dugla. Turn right and follow the obvious trail up and around a grassy hillside to reach Pheriche. Continue with easy climbing all the way to Dzongla.

Dzongla to Dragnag
Leave Dzongla after breakfast and follow an obvious trail looping over a grassy hill before gradually ascending to a large meadow at the valley's end. The trail then becomes steep through rocky terrain as you head toward Cho La Pass at 5,368 meters. After several hours of tiring climbing, you'll reach the pass which is often snow-covered and slippery. Descend the steep rocky trail to the teahouses of Dragnag.

Dragnag to Gokyo
This is a shorter trekking day. From Dragnag, cross the impressive Ngozumba Glacier, one of the major glaciers in the Everest region. Once across, turn right onto the main Gokyo Trail and trek to the settlement of Gokyo on the eastern shore of a large turquoise lake. Spend the rest of the day exploring the valley.

- Day 20
Gokyo to Lungden
From Gokyo, trek along the left side of the lake then climb a steep gradient for about two hours to reach a broad valley. Your trail heads west across the valley and climbs around a rocky spur before steepening toward Renjo La Pass, which offers some of the best views in the Solu-Khumbu region. Descend to a glacial lake and after about two hours of trekking, head down to a large sandy kharka. Drop rapidly into Bhote Koshi valley and trek one hour to Lungden.

Lungden to Mende
Leave Lungden after breakfast and follow the obvious trail descending for roughly two hours to reach Thame village. Take a short break to enjoy views of high snow-topped mountains. Continue by turning east on a trail toward a good campsite at Mende, a small village at the entrance of Kyajo Drangka.

Landmarks Thame Kyajo Drangka Mende - Day 22
Mende to Kyajo Ri Base Camp
From Mende, follow a faint yak trail crossing a couple of passes into the isolated valley of Kyajo Drangka. You'll see views of Thamserku, Kusum Kangaru, Kwangde Peak, Parchamo Peak and surrounding high peaks. After a few hours of trekking, reach a good campsite along a small river where your Sherpa crew will set up Base Camp.

Kyajo Ri Base Camp to Camp I
Leave base camp after breakfast and follow a rising trail climbing through grassy spur and boulders. The trek continues with a steep climb along rocky trail with several boulders. Taking regular rests helps restore energy for this tiring section. Trek until you reach a good campsite at 5,200 meters where your Sherpa crew handles carrying tents and gear.

Landmarks Kyajo Ri - Day 24
Kyajo Ri Camp I
Rest at Camp I for acclimatization and exploration. Proper altitude adjustment is important to prevent altitude sickness and ensure successful summit of Kyajo Ri Peak. Do some climbing training practices. With inspiring views of mountain valleys and high peaks, you'll have a good rest day. Your Sherpa crew prepares for the climb to Camp II.

Landmarks Kyajo Ri - Day 25
Kyajo Ri Camp I to Camp II
After your rest day, continue on a trail that climbs gradually at first then steeply through snow-covered sections. You'll likely use fixed ropes and crampons during this climb. Keep trekking uphill until you reach a good campsite at 5,700 meters. Your Sherpa crew sets up camp and does final equipment checks for the Kyajo Ri Peak summit climb.

Landmarks Kyajo Ri - Day 26
Kyajo Ri Peak Summit
Having reached the Kyajo Ri Peak summit at 6,183 meters, prepare for your return journey. From Camp II, retrace your steps descending back to Base Camp. The trail is often snow-covered and slippery, so move carefully through these sections to arrive back at base camp.

Kyajo Ri Base Camp to Namche Bazaar
Leaving your base camp, retrace your steps back through Mende. You'll leave the alpine vegetation behind and enter subtropical forest filled with rhododendron trees. An easy trek brings you back to Namche Bazaar.

Landmarks Mende Namche Bazaar - Day 28
Namche Bazaar to Lukla
This is your final trekking day. From Namche Bazaar, walk through dense rhododendron forest with some short uphill sections and downhill portions to the Bhote Koshi river, which you'll cross three times. A final uphill climb of about 45 minutes brings you back to Lukla where you can celebrate completing your trip with the NGT team.

Landmarks Bhote Koshi River Lukla - Day 29
Lukla to Kathmandu
After breakfast, take an early scenic mountain flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu. Upon landing at the airport, transfer to your hotel and rest or visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites you might have missed on Day 2. Walking through Thamel's market streets is worth the time. That evening, celebrate finishing the Three Peaks Climbing Adventure with a final meal.
