- Day 1
Parma
You'll arrive in Parma and get your bike fitted while meeting the other cyclists on the tour. Before the welcome dinner with local guides, there's time to walk through the historic center, which is on UNESCO's list. Grab a table at one of the piazzas to try the famous prosciutto and Parmesan cheese, or just wander around and take in the art and history of the city.

- Day 2
Parma
This is your first ride, taking you through rolling hills with ancient castles dotting the landscape. You'll cycle to Torrechiara Castle from 1448-1460, which sits above the Val Parma valley. After lunch featuring local cured prosciutto and salame, the route heads back downhill to Parma where you'll spend your final evening in the city.

Parma to Reggio-Emilia
Starting early, you'll ride along back roads and bike paths through farmland and small villages heading toward Reggio-Emilia, the heart of Parmesan country. Stop to check out the regional capital's farmer's market if it happens to be open. By afternoon you'll reach an agriturismo, a working farm with both a Parmesan cheese and balsamic vinegar factory on the property. Plenty of time to relax and explore the grounds.

Reggio-Emilia to Castelvetro di Modena
Head out early for a guided tour of a traditional Parmesan dairy where the Consorzio will walk through the craft and you'll taste authentic Parmesan. From there, cycling continues to Maranello, where Ferrari's factory and testing track are located (the Ferrari Museum is optional if you want to stop). You'll finish in medieval Castelvetro di Modena, your base for the next two nights. Wander the cobbled lanes and have dinner with views of the countryside and Apennine mountains.

Today offers an optional loop ride down to Modena, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and historic art city. Check out the Duomo and Ghirlandina medieval tower, browse the famous covered outdoor market, and grab gelato. The city is where Enzo Ferrari and tenor Luciano Pavarotti were born. Back in Castelvetro by afternoon, you'll visit a small balsamic vinegar mill to learn how grape leftovers become expensive aged vinegar. Dinner is on your own this evening.

The tour finishes with something special: you'll cook a traditional meal alongside a local Bologna cook who shares techniques and secrets for a celebratory goodbye dinner together.
