We took this 5 day self-guided tour with another couple from Bologna to Parma in early April. It was absolutely fantastic! (Gorgeous countryside, Parmigiano Reggiano & balsamic vinegar tours so interesting, food & activity recommendations spot on). Cycle Europe staff was incredibly organized, responsive, consistent and kind. The hotels they booked for us were wonderful - their locations with great walking access to the best of each city. The bikes were in perfect condition, GPS directions clear, and luggage transport was smooth. I highly recommend this company and would book them again in a heartbeat!

The ability to guide ourselves through a tour with an exceptional mobile application making sure we didn't get lost was amazing! My wife and I generally prefer to not do guided tours, so we can decide what we want to see. Having the option with this company to do that AND have our luggage ported and lodging taken care of in one price was one of the major highlights of our time in Italy. It was a very stress free experience that let us just enjoy the countryside by bike. We had some maintenance issues on a couple of the days, but the bike rental company handled it before we left on our next leg of the trip every time! We definitely plan to do this kind of cycling trip in the future all thanks to this experience!

My husband and I biked the self-guided 8 day tour and it was perfectly organized for us. The gps software for our phones worked extremely well and cycle europe provided all the gear we needed to safely and comfortably bike from place to place. The bikes were easy to use and we had no issues along the trip. It was so nice to just bike from place to place and trust our bags would make it to our destination. All of the hotels were comfortable and welcoming and knew to expect us and our bikes. Though I’m not sure I’d recommend biking in the heat of July in Italy, it was doable! Breakfast was served at 7am at each hotel and we were able to bike in the mornings and get out of the heat by midday and take that time to explore the different cities or recover in the AC of the hotel. I would highly recommend Cycle Europe if you are considering a bike tour in Italy!
