  The people in Turkey were very nice and welcoming. The actual tour guide and tour driver were very good. The organization of the tour was horrible. The tour operator's shuttle driver to pick us up from the port was one half hour late. We waited at the appointed spot and no driver. The operator took us in and out of the old airport which was a one and one half hour drive from the hotel in Istanbul. We should have gone in and out of IST a 40 minute drive AND since we had a departing flight at 6 am on Monday we could have stored our luggage at IST and gotten a hotel there for the few hours we needed one the night of the 19th. Instead we were driven around all night to the original hotel where we were for 45 minutes before we had to leave to catch our 6:00 am flight home which the tour operator was aware of. Also the shuttle driver to pick us up was not where he should have been and cost us 40 minutes of time to get to the hotel. The hotel in Cappadocia was quaint be difficult due to a steep climb to get to it and once there several steep stairs to get to the room and the restaurant. Our shower did not function and there was no warm place to wait for the two hour wait from the time the tour ended and it was time to go to the airport. Our experience with Tour Radar in Sicily had been wonderful so we were expecting a seamless, worry free time. This was not the case and wonder if Tour Radar is a good fit for us in the future. Both hotels were really subpar and the lack of definitive answers about storibg luggage in Istanbul was concerning at the price we were paying.Show more

We repeatedly explained the situation, clearly outlined the constraints, and offered practical, well-founded alternatives to improve your overall experience. These were not arbitrary suggestions, but professional recommendations based on local expertise and operational realities. However, you chose to disregard all of them and insisted on proceeding strictly with your original plan. This approach reflects a clear assumption that your understanding of local operations was superior to that of the professionals managing your trip. Unfortunately, the outcome you experienced is a direct result of that decision. Therefore, holding us responsible for the consequences is neither fair nor reasonable. For future reference, if you intend to override professional guidance at every stage, it would be more appropriate to either manage all arrangements independently or operate your own agency.
