This tour uses fully serviced camping meaning the crew set up and take down the tents for you each day. You sleep in spacious 2-person dome tents. These are standard safari tents meant for two adults. Camp beds and mattresses are provided, as well as a sleeping bag and pillow. You do not sleep directly on the ground, and you do not need to bring your own tent. The included sleeping gear makes it much more comfortable than basic ground camping. Facilities vary by campsite. At many sites (especially established public campsites), you'll have shared bathroom blocks with toilets and hot showers. In more remote areas (e.g., Spitzkoppe or true bush campsites) there can be simple facilities or none at all — meaning basic long-drop toilets and bucket showers or natural facilities. The crew will always do their best to choose sites with adequate facilities where possible. There isn't a laundry service included. Some larger camps or towns you stay near may have local laundry services, but this is not guaranteed at every stop. Luggage is stored in the overland truck/vehicle's storage area, separate from passenger seating. There is a general guideline of around 15–20 kg per person for soft-pack luggage so it fits comfortably in the storage area. Soft-pack bags (duffel type) are recommended rather than rigid suitcases, as they pack more easily and fit better in storage. July is mid-winter in Namibia and Botswana. Days are often sunny and mild, but nights can be cold — often below freezing in desert or open campsite areas. This is normal for the dry season. Warm clothing for evenings, layered clothing for the day, and a warm sleeping bag (included) are recommended.

This is an overlanding tour, with a mixture of camping and 3-4 star hotels.

They would like to visit Zambia and Zimbabwe. Their ideal itinerary would include Victoria Falls, safari, connect with a performing arts company, visit schools/young adults.

We don't offer customized tours in Africa. We only run group tours in this part of the world. We don't have any tour that combines 7 days in Zambia and 7 days in Zimbabwe. We have some group tours to Zimbabwe but they also include Botswana and/or South Africa.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before August 7th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after August 7th, 2026, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with On The Go Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 70 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
