Traveling through Morocco in just seven days might sound rushed, but the itinerary was perfectly balanced, giving us enough time to explore each city, relax, and enjoy the scenery. We visited a mix of Morocco’s highlights: the modern and bustling streets of Casablanca, the historical beauty of Fes, the traditional kasbahs near Ouarzazate, and the magical Sahara Desert in Merzouga. Each stop included a local guide who gave deep insights into the history, culture, and daily life of Morocco. The accommodations were exceptional. We stayed in traditional riads in the cities, providing an authentic Moroccan experience, and the desert camp offered a unique night under the stars. All hotels were clean, comfortable, and well-located. Meals were delicious, especially the Moroccan specialties like tagine, couscous, and fresh salads during dinner and breakfast at the desert camp. The driver was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable, making long drives across the Atlas Mountains and desert safe and enjoyable. I appreciated how everything was arranged — from transportation and hotel bookings to guided tours — which allowed us to relax and fully enjoy the journey without any stress. Overall, this 7-day tour is perfect for travelers who want a complete Moroccan experience in a short period. From the very first day, everything was carefully organized, which made the journey smooth and enjoyable. Starting in Casablanca, we explored the city’s modern attractions and historic sites before heading to the imperial cities. Each destination was chosen to give a full picture of Morocco’s rich history, culture, and natural beauty. Visiting Fes was a highlight. Our local guide showed us around the medina, explaining the architecture, history of Quranic schools, and traditional artisan workshops. The Atlas Mountains offered breathtaking views, and the desert experience in Merzouga was magical — riding camels at sunset and spending a night under the stars in a desert camp was beyond anything I imagined. Accommodations throughout the tour were excellent, from charming riads in the cities to the desert camp. Everything was clean, comfortable, and carefully chosen for location and hospitality. The driver was professional, friendly, and always made sure we were comfortable during long drives. Meals included delicious Moroccan breakfasts, and the dinners in the desert and selected locations allowed us to taste traditional flavors.   I’ll start off with some of the positive aspects of the trip. The hotels I stayed in, called Riads, were very nice and the front desk attendants were very helpful and nice in each place. Even though there was a lot of driving it was scenic and occasionally we drove past the local’s homes and some local markets which was very interesting. One of my favorite tours was in Fez, it was very informative and enjoyable. One of the most disappointing aspects of this trip was the lack of organization. Most of all I was expecting much better communication. One of the first occurrences was after a long flight from the U.S. I got dropped off at a pre- booked Hotel. There was a really long wait and once It was finally my turn the hotel did not have my reservation so I had to call the driver to sort everything out. The whole process took a long time. On a separate occasion, I found out after the fact, that one of the tours I went on was supposed to be included and instead I had to pay an additional cost, this was at Volubilis. Another negative aspect was the overview of the trip was inaccurate and very misleading. When I spoke to agents on the phone they said it was a fully guided tour and the website states specifically that you will be provided with an “Experienced English - French speaking guide/driver”. My driver was a good driver but knew very little about the places we visited our drive through. He would simply pick me up, drive, and drop me off. I did not have an experienced driver/guide" during my 7 day tour, I solely had a driver. I was assured it was normal for people to sign up last minute and yet no one else signed up. I knew there was a slim possibility that I was going to be traveling solo however, I chose to move forward with this specific tour knowing that I would have an experienced English driver/ guide who was informative and would help me navigate the area throughout my journey in Morocco and unfortunately that simply did not happen. The tour didn’t always coincide with the itinerary, which would have been nice to have clarification beforehand. Such as, on the first day, instead of dining at a local restaurant, as the itinerary stated, we stopped at a gas station and ate lunch there. On the fifth day we almost missed visiting the market in Rissani, had I not said anything we would not have stopped. On the last day, as I was confirming we were hitting all the right destinations from the itinerary I mentioned the Majorelle Gardens from the itinerary and I was told that tickets needed to be booked days in advance. Overall, the trip I went on was not worth 4 stars. It was extremely disappointing especially considering the high reviews it received and how highly it was recommended by booking agents. Unfortunately, the trip I went on was not worthy of the cost and did not reflect the good reviews the tour has received.Show more

That is never the level of service we aim to provide. Regarding the hotel reservation on your arrival day, we completely understand how exhausting long-haul travel can be, and having to wait while sorting out a booking issue is unacceptable. We apologize for the inconvenience and stress this caused you. This should have been handled smoothly before your arrival. Concerning Volubilis, the guided visit is included in the program, and if there was any misunderstanding or additional payment made on site, please contact us directly with the details so we can review and resolve this properly. Transparency is extremely important to us. We also want to clarify the structure of the tour. The program includes an English-speaking driver who accompanies guests throughout the trip, and licensed local city guides in major historical cities such as volubilis, ait ben haddou and Fes, as well as at specific sites. However, we understand that the wording “driver/guide” may have created the expectation of having a fully guided explanation during all travel days. If this was not clearly communicated, we sincerely apologize for the confusion. We are already reviewing how this is presented to avoid misunderstandings in the future. As for the itinerary differences (restaurant stop, Rissani market, Majorelle Garden tickets), you are absolutely right that better communication would have made a difference. Some sites like the Majorelle Garden require advance booking due to limited availability, but this should have been clearly explained beforehand. Thank you for pointing this out. Traveling solo can already feel uncertain, and we understand that expectations around guidance and support were especially important in your case. We are sorry that your experience did not match what you were promised or what you had hoped for, especially given the positive reviews that influenced your decision. While there was a lot of driving, they do an excellent job at breaking up your travel day with multiple stops along the way that it didn’t really feel like long days in the car. The team was extremely responsive in their communication when questions were asked or if refunds needed to be made due to weather related issues. Our driver, Zakaria, was excellent. Extremely safe driver and very knowledgeable about all the places we went. I would highly recommend requesting Zakaria for your trip. This is a great way to explore Morocco if you have limited time. There were many hours spent in the car but Anwar was an excellent driver. Accommodations were very nice - staying in riad vs hotels is the way to go. The tour of Fes with Marouone was exceptional - he provided so much historical & other information, answered all our questions, the extent of his knowledge was incredible.   Our guide/driver Zac was great and took good care of us during the tour. This tour took us to riads for hotels, which required us to go down random streets in the Medina, plus walk up flights of stairs to the room, so if you are not in decent shape, this is not for you. The guide/hotel took care of the luggage however, so at least you didn't have to drag the luggage around. This tour provided nice coverage of the different cities in Morocco.   I had a wonderful trip in Morocco! The experience was surreal! I had to be honest that I was a little nervous before the trip because I was a female solo traveler. But my driver Hicham quickly earned my trust and made me at ease. Hicham was very personal, kind and caring. He constantly followed up with me on WhatsApp and made sure I was having a good time and was taken care of every stop of the trip. I got lost in the Medina at Fez really late at night and panicked. Thank goodness Hicham came to my rescue. Huge shout out to Hicham! The local tour guides are very knowledgeable too. The only thing on the trip that I didn’t like was the old town market negotiation experience. Just be aware that the street vendors ask insanely high prices and are very persistent. This trip was well organized and covered a lot of grounds. I highly recommend this trip to any first timer!!!Show more
