Itinerary
- Day 1
Lima
You'll arrive at Lima airport and head to your hotel to settle in. From there, the day is yours to spend however you like. Rest up from your flight if needed, or get out and explore the city on your own. If you're interested, there's an optional evening option that includes the Magic Water Circuit with dinner afterward, which gives you a chance to see the fountain displays followed by a meal.

- Day 2
Lima
After breakfast, you'll start exploring Lima's old town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour covers the colonial area, beginning at the Main Square with the cathedral, then moves to Casa Aliaga, a 16th-century mansion that's still owned by the original family. Next you'll head to the Larco Museum in Pueblo Libre, housed in a restored colonial building that was actually built over a pre-Columbian pyramid. The museum holds some of the best pre-Hispanic gold and silver pieces you'll see. Back at your hotel by afternoon, you'll have the rest of the day free.

Lima to Cusco
After breakfast, you'll transfer to Lima Airport for your flight to Cusco. Once you land, your guide will meet you and take you to the hotel. In the afternoon, you'll explore several of Cusco's historic sites, starting with Santo Domingo Convent, which was built right over the Inca Coricancha temple. Then you'll see the Cathedral on the Main Square, followed by Sacsayhuaman fortress, which offers great views of the surrounding area. After that, you'll visit the temple ruins of Qenqo and Puka Pukara, a military complex, before heading back to your hotel.

- Day 4
Sacred Valley
After breakfast, you'll head to Chinchero, a traditional town where you can see the valley below and watch locals keeping ancestral Inca traditions alive through their clothing and crafts, plus there's a beautiful 17th-century church. From there, the Living Museum of Yucay is next, where you'll watch people doing traditional textile, adobe, pottery, and silverware work, and you'll get to interact with llamas, sheep, and alpacas. Later you'll travel to Ollantaytambo to walk through the town and climb up to the impressive fortress built against a mountain. Lunch happens at a local restaurant in Ollantaytambo, and then you'll return to your hotel.

- Day 5
Machu Picchu
After breakfast, you'll head to Ollanta Station to catch the train that travels through the Andean mountains to Aguas Calientes. From the station there, it's a 25-minute coach ride up to Machu Picchu, the famous 15th-century citadel built by Emperor Pachacuti. Your guide will take you through the site and explain the key structures and their significance. Lunch takes place at Café Inkaterra, which overlooks both the railway and mountains. You'll return to Cusco in the afternoon.
