Peru is a beautiful country with amazing history and picturesque landscape . People were warm and welcoming , the food was delicious. Lima tours - guides were excellent, punctual , polite, knowledgeable , accommodating to special requests . Vehicles were in good condition , drivers were skillful . Special shout out to Sarah and Ed. Hotels were impeccable - front desk at Aranwa Cusco was efficient and nice enough to arrange last minute covid test . Inkaterra hacienda will be Ana everlasting pleasant memory . Pick up from airport could have been smoother . When I came out of the airport - crowd of people with placards and several taxi tours were there but no Lima tours . Lima pickup persons were randomly located across the street near a cafe - took 3 phone calls and 20 mts to find them . Indication of Exact pickup spot could be helpful . Flight was cancelled from Cusco to Lima because of air traffic controllers strike - not anyones fault - was taken back to hotel by guide . perhaps better advice from operator to reschedule through phone or in person at airline office would have helped . When we finally went downtown to the office , no flights for 2 days . Had to purchase expensive flights through a different airline to get back same day on order to connect to international flights . When I called Lima tours to get back to airport ,they said they would make arrangements but subsequently guide and tour Operator office were not accessible for several hours despite several calls and messages . Had to make my way to airport by myself as it was getting late . They could have said explicitly that they would not take me to airport again , that would have made it less stressful.verdict - when schedule runs as planned they are excellent . Need to exercise a little more skill and experience when handling emergencies and unexpected turns . Overall trip was memorable despite travel hassles .
